We sat out on the second-floor outdoor patio at Jianna that overlooks Falls Park and in between sips of wine stole glances at one another. We’ve been together for over five years but Jianna’s the kind of place that had us scooting our chairs closer and offering bites of food to one another. If you’re hoping to impress someone or treat yourself to a nice meal, this is the place.

Jianna gets it right on two accounts: It overlooks beautiful Falls Park and boasts a modern Italian menu with a place of honor for freshly shucked oysters. Chef Michael Kramer, formerly of McCrady’s in Charleston (now closed), shows off his culinary chops with classic Italian cuisine. Freshly shucked oysters hailing from both the West Coast and East Coast make a fine prologue.

You’ll find Jianna at South Main and Falls Park Drive, where chef/owner Michael Kramer unveils his version of a modern Italian osteria. Linger over house-made pasta (think: Beef Short Rib Ragu) and Negroni-inspired cocktails on the second-floor balcony or pull up a stool inside at the raw bar and accompany the day’s selection of oysters with a refreshing glass of Prosecco.

Part Italian trattoria, part oyster bar, Jianna is a great stop for a weekend snack after sightseeing (see the abbreviated "piccolo" menu) or a leisurely lunch or dinner. Overlooking scenic Falls Park in downtown Greenville, it's situated in a gorgeous, airy space. Start with chilled West and East Coast oysters or the honey whipped ricotta crostini.

If you want honest-to-goodness Italian cooking with a modern twist, you can’t go wrong with Jianna. Located in the heart of Downtown Greenville, the modern Italian eatery boasts of its hand-made and hand-rolled pastas. Every meal pays homage to traditional Italian cooking but also reinvigorates it with new cooking techniques.

Several months past their opening, Ryan and I still had to make a reservation the day before to get a table at 9pm on a Saturday night in December. This surprised (and possibly) thrilled me. A lot of restaurants in Greenville are extremely popular for the first month or two, but then it starts to ebb off.

Most of us in #yeahTHATgreenville know that Jianna has delicious modern Italian food, but they also have a great side patio** + rotating_ seasonal cocktails.* Our current obsession is the *_Italian Summer (we know, shocking) – a refreshing mix of Tito’s vodka, St. Elder elderflower, cranberry + prosecco.

The festival will include guest chefs for lunches and dinners at area restaurants, including Restaurant 17, Fork and Plough, CAMP, Jianna, Loft at Soby's, Topsoil Kitchen and Market, Oak Hill Cafe, Stella's Southern Brasserie and Southern Culture Kitchen and Bar.

The pasta is made fresh every day, the oysters are to die for, and the martinis are perfect every time. Plus, it’s situated on the second-story of the building overlooking Falls Park. On a nice day with all the windows and doors flung open, you can’t beat it.

Jianna is an Italian restaurant with a four-season rooftop patio that offers excellent views of Falls Park. Customers come to Jianna for its homemade pasta and seafood dishes. The restaurant is perfect for special occasions or for a romantic night out.

Jianna is one of my favorite places to go for a date night in Greenville. It doesn’t get better than their bread and butternut squash puree. Aside from the food, the atmosphere and staff have a lot to do with what makes this place so special.

Jianna is an Italian and oyster place in a modern, minimalist setting. It is on the second floor and has a beautiful outdoor deck overlooking Main St that was unfortunately too cold for us to enjoy.

This modern restaurant on Main Street offers handmade pastas, fresh oysters, and an extensive wine list. Its open-air balcony overlooks Falls Park, making it a desirable spot for a night out.

From the moment you climb up the stairs to when you leave it is an amazing experience. The ambiance is lively and cozy, the service was great, and the food was indescribably delicious.

Greenville came in as number 10 on the list with special shoutouts included the new restaurant; Husk, a Greek restaurant; Jī-rōz, Bacon Bros Public House, and Jianna.

Our go-to restaurant for date night is Jianna in Downtown Greenville. The food is fantastic, and the vibe of the restaurant is relaxed but still upscale.

Wine and Dine at Jianna – Featuring Italian-inspired cuisine and an extensive wine list, Jianna is a must-visit for those who love a modern dining flair.
