What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Peninsula Pastries is celebrated for its authentic French pastries and breads, with many visitors highlighting the quality of imported ingredients and the melt-in-your-mouth textures. While most reviews rave about the deliciousness, a few customers have experienced disappointment with dryness or lack of filling in specific items. It's a popular spot, so be prepared for lines and potential sell-outs, especially if you arrive late.
"Get here early because the line can get long. However, the wait is worth it. I travel a lot and this place is one of the best I’ve had. I recommend the Butterscotch Pecan Twist! Authentic ingredients and very well made."
Marvin Marquez
"First time visitor. Best pain chocolat and choquettes that I've had in many years!! Not good for the waistline but I'll be back!"
Jesse Smith
"Excellent pastries. We tried the almond croissant and the butterscotch pecan roll/twist, which apparently is their best seller. Both were good and the twist was especially good. Prices are perhaps on the high end and yet the pastries are fairly large. You can easily split a pastry.
We found the person working (not sure if it was the owner) there very friendly. She greeted each customer with "bon jour" as they entered. It got fairly busy, but the service was fast. There is a minimum $12 purchase for using a credit card. They prefer cash which is what we did."

Bakery: The VERY French Peninsula Pastries (611 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs CA 92264) transformed Palm Springs from a barren bakery wasteland into a food destination drawing people from all over the Coachella Valley and beyond. There are a million caveats about this place (it helps to speak French, there is a $12 minimum on credit cards, it’s on the expensive side, they sell out nearly every day, they keep odd hours as they often take French holidays/hours, weird strip mall location, etc.) but Helene and Christophe are turning out genuinely world-class delicacies and breads rivaling the best bakeries around. Looking for a birthday cake or cupcakes?.
