Reviews Summary

L'Atelier Cafe is praised for its authentic French cuisine, particularly its pastries, croissants, and signature dishes like the French toast and Croque Madame. Many reviewers highlight the warm and welcoming service, contributing to a cozy and intimate dining experience. However, a few diners have noted inconsistencies in food quality and issues with the ambiance and dishware.

"Cute little cafe in downtown Palm Springs! They have some outdoor and indoor seating. We ordered a croque madame and parisien panini. They both come with a small side salad. It was so flavorful. Quick service and friendly staff. We were able to be in and out within 25 minutes which we appreciated. Would come back!"

"Amazing family owned and operated French café. The food, the drinks, and the ambience are truly wonderful, and I must emphasize the French Toast! We will absolutely make the drive from LA just to eat here and enjoy the familial love! Also this is a great brunch date spot!"

"1.5/5 stars

Came here for brunch on a Sunday, and we didn’t have to wait. I got the salmon benedict croissant ($17), and my bf got the workshop eggs and a croissant. Unfortunately, the salmon benedict croissant was horrendous. The poached eggs were grainy. The croissant was tasteless and soggy. The salmon was solid, but the pieces were small. The side salad was very small. I tried my boyfriend’s workshop eggs, and I thought that was good

The inside ambiance is cute, but old-looking. The chairs were run-down. The water glass given to me was very old, and the edges were jagged. Service was very quick. If you pay with credit card, there’s a $1 charge. Overall, would not recommend eating here"

Top 10 Coffee Shops in Palm Springs

By the time Angelique and Christophe stepped into L’Atelier Cafe for the first time while on vacation in 2018, they had already grown enchanted with the majestic beauty of Palm Springs. Being a couple from France and owning a restaurant together there, it’s no wonder they stopped by for a little taste of home. Little did they know, the cafe’s original founders were putting into motion plans to return to their native France – therefore, the place was up for sale.
