What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
We Cook Pizza and Pasta is a convenient Italian eatery near the Grand Canyon, offering a variety of pizzas and pastas. While praised for its quick service and family-friendly atmosphere, some reviewers find the prices high for the quality, especially on pizzas. Portions are generally generous, and the garlic bread is a standout. It's seen as a solid, filling option in an area with limited dining choices, though not considered gourmet.
"If you're looking for decent food while visiting the Grand Canyon, this place is a good spot to start. The restaurant shares a large lot with the Tusayan General Store, the town Starbucks, and the Yippee Ei Oh Steakhouse. Easy to get in and out of, but if you can't make a decent left turn out, you can go through the roundabout to get circled away. The day we came, the parking lot was being cleaned, resurfaced and restriped, so we had to enter using the side street entrance.
There is plenty of seating inside, where you basically order at the counter, then find a spot and pick up the food when your pager buzzes. There is also an outdoor seating area when the weather is good. Soda machines are to the left, and their restrooms are pretty clean. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I was expecting prices to be somewhat more exorbitant than what you would find at your local parlor, but found the prices to be the same, if not slightly less than what I'm used to.
The food itself though, was pretty good. the wings had a good kick to them, and were juicy. The meatballs were decent, not overly salty, and the pasta wasn't dry. They did not skimp on the pizza toppings either. We would definitely stop back in the next time we're visiting."

"This pizza shop is located close to the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and maybe that is why their prices are so ridiculous, especially for the quality of their food product. Unfortunately, there are very few dining options here if you are staying for a few nights, and the businesses know this. There is a large parking lot in the complex so parking should not be an issue most of the time, but it is a shared parking lot. The pizza shop has plenty of tables inside, but again, depending on what time you arrive it might not always be that way, especially during the busy months of the year. The menu is varied, so you have other options other than pizza, like pasta, chicken wings, etc. The staff members were not hostile or rude, but neither were they very welcoming, just tell me what you want and pay. Now, what about the pizza, while they are not terrible, they sure could use more sauce and ingredients of their pizza pies, especially at the prices they charge. That brings me to the bottom line, their pizzas are what I would label as your average Papa John’s pizza quality but at Michelin Star restaurant prices. When you look at my photos, you will see what we purchased and all for the low price of $145.00, which is absolutely, positively, ridiculous. So, beware when you enter that this is tourist orientated business, and bring your credit card to boot. FYI, there other menu options are much more reasonable than their pizza prices."

"After a full day of exploring the breathtaking sights of the Grand Canyon, We Cook Pizza & Pasta was the perfect spot to relax and refuel. The restaurant offers a casual, no-fuss dining experience—you place your order at the counter, receive a number, and pick up your food when it’s ready. It’s quick and convenient, which is exactly what you want after a long day on the trails.
The menu is packed with great options to satisfy any appetite. The portions are generous, and some dishes are perfect for sharing. Their pizza stole the show for us—perfectly cooked with a crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh toppings that really hit the spot.
With its relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and hearty meals, this place is a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner. If you’re visiting the Grand Canyon, make sure to stop by for a satisfying meal that will leave you fueled up for more adventures. Highly recommend!"
