"We were there New Year’s day for lunch, and we were really hungry! My friend only ordered a crepe and I wanted a steak with eggs. After 40 minutes waiting for our food we asked the waitress what was the holdup? She apologized and said, they were short staffed and only 2 cooks working. I understand, but my friend was getting really impatient, said she should’ve let us know that beforehand. She said your food will be ready in 5 minutes. Probably another 10-15 minutes went by, we got up and getting ready to leave when she walked out with our food. I didn’t wanted to be rude, because she honestly was working hard, and I have to stress this is not her fault, she was trying to serve. We sat back down and started to eat…

I asked for a medium cooked steak! This was absolutely BURNED and hard! So dry and gross! The waitress even approached me and said “it’s not huh?” And I was like no, it’s awful! I didn’t finish the plate and I thought they had the decency of not charging me for it, the only thing they did was give me a free slice of cake… really?
I used to enjoy stopping here for breakfast, I’m absolutely not going back. Management needs to deal with their staff and times way better! It was terrible food service!"

"Didn’t get a chance to really try the food, we never got served once we got seated. Pretty sure anyone from the time of 8:20 to 9 am three groups ahead of us left. Then when we finally got seated, they forgot about us. I didn’t see anyone server in our section at all. There were others seated around us just no server. The very upsetting part of it was that we waited nearly 30 minutes to just be seated and people showed us after us. Like 5 other parties, all those customers were seated and already had drinks before we decided to leave. So not only we got poor services we were pushed to the back burner and forgotten. And the manager was the one who sat us down, she also made eye contact with me when we’re seated. So it’s not like they didn’t acknowledged us. They just decided to put their focus for the customers seated in the middle section, which I found unfair given that we waited more than them. My whole family is a big fan of village inn. It’s a very nice family diner but we didn’t get the nice family service."
