Reviews Summary

Pancake Pantry is a beloved Gatlinburg institution renowned for its vast selection of made-from-scratch pancakes and warm, inviting atmosphere. Diners rave about the unique flavors, friendly service, and the overall nostalgic experience, though the long lines are a frequent topic of discussion. Despite the wait, most agree the delicious food and welcoming ambiance make it well worth the visit, solidifying its status as a must-try breakfast spot.

"The highlight of the meal was definitely the sweet potato pancakes—so good, I barely stopped to take a proper picture! The cinnamon syrup made them even better, adding just the right touch of warmth and sweetness.

For lunch, we had The Continental with homemade chips. I opted to keep side since I’m not big on sauces—it had a sweet and tangy flavor that wasn’t quite my thing, but the sandwich and chips themselves were fantastic. My husband went for the hamburger with homemade fries, and both were a hit.

Overall, a great meal with a few personal taste preferences in the mix!"

Christa

"One of the best breakfast spots!
Pancake Pantry completely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in. The service was truly world-class—friendly, attentive, and with perfect timing of food. everything came out exactly when it should. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every bite tasted amazingly and was made with care. Honestly, this is one of the best breakfast places I’ve ever visited, and I’d come back in a heartbeat."

Krister-Martin Hani

"The pancakes were really good and didn’t taste bad at all. The omelettes were okay but not the best. The atmosphere was really nice and felt like a wooden diner. The waiters were obviously in a rush but that seems reason since it was packed. The waiting time wasn’t that long only around 15 min."

Breakfast is where the town's culinary prowess truly shines, with long-standing staples like Crockett's Breakfast Camp, Pancake Pantry and The Donut Friar serving up brunch favorites and sweet treats from sunrise into the afternoon. Recent visitors praised the breakfast platter at Crockett's Breakfast Camp, which comes served in a cast iron skillet, but others didn't find the food worth the sometimes long wait for a table. However, other travelers pointed out that the wait may be just as long at Pancake Pantry, though worth the delicious breakfast.
