Reviews Summary
Star Drug Store is a beloved Galveston institution, praised for its historic atmosphere and classic diner fare. Diners rave about the friendly service, reasonable prices, and delicious breakfast and lunch options, especially the fluffy eggs and unique patty melts. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, one mention noted an off-day with a less-than-friendly server, though this was viewed as an anomaly.
"The ham and egg omelet is incredibly good!!! Very cool diner experience and all staff are top tier friendly and professional. 5 star recommendation all the way."

"🌟 Star Drug Store Review – Honest but Still Giving Grace 🌟
Let me just start by saying: Star Drug Store is not your average lil’ pick-up spot. This place got history, character, and that old-school Galveston charm that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a postcard. ✨📮
I came here to pick up some packages—and baby, the process was smooth like butter on a warm biscuit. The first time I came? 10/10. Quick, easy, and the person helping me was sweet as pie.
Now the second time? Ehh… not quite the same vibe. I did run into a server who wasn’t giving the friendliest energy, but look—I’m not gonna name names or drag it out. We all have off days. Maybe Mercury was retrograde or maybe sis just needed a hug. 🤷🏽♀️💁🏽♀️
I’m still giving this spot its flowers because the good outweighs the weird. You’re not just getting your packages—you’re getting a little Galveston moment. The aesthetic is vintage, the people-watching is top-tier, and it’s the kind of place where something random (but heartwarming) always seems to happen.
Would I go back? Yup.
Would I recommend it? Definitely.
Would I hope the next server’s in a better mood? Absolutely. 😅
All love to Star Drug. You’re a classic.
Side note: if you like McDonald’s Coke, I wouldn’t recommend ordering one from here. It’s on the superrr sweet side"

"This is the must stop-by while visiting The Strand. Their little cute shop which holds quite a few items of Galveston’s history.
If you look for the great fancy foods, this place won’t have it. However, the unique recipes will surprise you for its outstanding tastes."
