what’s better than a toasty bagel with lots of cream cheese? 🤭 open everyday 7-2 for breakfast and lunch :) there’s moderate amount of seating inside and lots of outdoor seating. Reviews Summary

Mosquito Cafe is a beloved Galveston spot praised for its fresh, delicious American eats, especially breakfast and brunch dishes. Diners rave about the cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and unique twists on classic Southern fare. While generally highly regarded, some visitors note that it can get crowded, and a few have found the food temperature to be inconsistent.

"One of the best spots for breakfast on the island. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The grits aren’t your typical southern grits, but they’re still good. We love the self serve coffee station and art on walls. Your mom and aunts will love this place."

Sam Watson

"When we first entered, we were greeted by Turtle and he told us how the restaurant worked. We ordered our food and we were not disappointed. Very yummy breakfast. I had the bacon omelette and there was plenty to go around. The fresh fruit was delicious. Nice strong coffee. Don’t be thrown off by the name of this place. The food is 10/10"

Dawn Eckart

"I really hope the temporary closure is actually temporary. We went a few months ago randomly & I forgot to review. We loved our meal. We ordered the Pecan crusted brie, Kahuna tuna & Asian filet beef bowl. We don't live in the area so I hope they're open again in the future."
