"While visiting Miss Daisy’s this week, I dropped by to pick up a couple of side items and a salad. I did pick up an extra muffin as a treat. I did ask the girl for a receipt and when she handed it to me, there was nothing on either side that was printed. So, I asked for another copy. When I got it, there was nothing on either side of the second receipt! I wrote the total amount down on the blank receipt and went on my way.
Once I got home, I took a look at the muffin and noticed a dollar increase to six dollars for one muffin! Did this 20% INCREASE just occur for the busy holidays because on October 31 it was $5? OR Wow, was this an extra dollar just for ingredient inflation? The label on the baked muffins says Anne’s Cakes of Nashville. I realize these are muffins bought ahead of time in bulk and frozen.
I may have to skip Miss Daisy’s food inflation for a while or pray things go down to a more reasonable price in the future!
How about second day half-off muffins? Now that’s an idea!"
