If you ask a local where to find the best seafood in Fort Myers, don’t be surprised if they mention Izzy’s Fish and Oyster. Here, they use local ingredients and fish to create mouthwatering meals with a New England twist. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming with a hint of upscale class, ideal for any group to come and enjoy a delicious meal.

Our first, and possibly favorite meal of the trip, was at Izzy’s Fish and Oyster. This spot had me at the nautical atmosphere and the multitudes of seafood options. The food lived up to the expectations too as we loved the succulent oysters, a savory lobster roll, and a zesty poke bowl.

Izzy’s brings the Cape Cod feel right to Downtown Fort Myers. Their New England inspired menu offers a raw bar, a variety of seafood items, and great appetizers. The raw bar menu can get a little pricey depending on the season, but there is something on the menu for all price ranges.

Izzy’s Fish & Oyster are passionate about serving simple, yet comforting New England cuisine. The place is cozy, nicely decorated and simple at the same time. The staff are very entertaining and are knowledgeable about every item on their menu.

This laid-back restaurant offers a New England-style seafood experience, right in the heart of Fort Myers. Their oysters are always fresh, and the lobster roll is a crowd favorite. I personally love their seafood tower—it’s perfect for sharing.

They also have great happy hour specials including $1/shuck oyster and 2 for 1 drinks!. If you do not eat seafood, they are also very accommodating and were willing to make chicken and shrimp alfredo with the shrimp on the side for me!
