Reviews Summary
Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille is lauded for its consistently delicious seafood and vibrant waterfront atmosphere, especially popular for its signature Yucatan Shrimp and stunning sunset views. While many rave about attentive service and excellent food, some note that fish portions can be small on certain dishes, though the overall experience is highly recommended for its flavor and ambiance. The lively setting, often featuring live music, makes it a memorable dining destination for locals and tourists alike.
"Great place with consistently delicious food. The hog fish was great and the Yucatán shrimp is a must try. The vegetables that came with the hog fish special were not the best combination of flavors though. We pushed them out of the way and enjoyed the coconut rice. Our bartender upstairs was super personable and made great drinks. He was even from Baltimore, which is a plus."

"We had an amazing seat on the veranda overlooking the seas and amazing skies. Mackie was super with her suggestions and ensuring we never needed for any thing. The food was AMAZING!! Highly recommend!"

"This place is an absolute gem. Perfectly situated with stunning water views. The food—simply unforgettable. Every single dish we ordered was prepared to perfection.
The standout for me? Hands down, the crab cake. It's honestly the best I’ve ever had—moist, flavorful, and seared just right. Pure heaven on a plate. And let’s talk about the most popular item on the menu, the Yucatán Shrimp. It’s not just a dish, it’s an experience. If you skip it, you’re seriously missing out!
To top it all off, they’re serving up well-crafted cocktails for just $10—yes, really. Where else can you find that kind of value these days?
Whether you're a local or just passing through, this spot deserves a detour. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I’m already counting down the days until I can return."
