Locally owned by a Flagstaff native, this is a Mexican restaurant, featuring the most popular salsa bar in Flagstaff. The owner of this restaurant has been on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives a couple of times. It’s a comfortable atmosphere with plenty of space for a large party.

Salsa Brava has been serving fresh Mexican food to the Flagstaff area for over 30 years now. So you know that they have to be doing something right. I imagine Arizona has more competition for authentic and high quality Mexican food than most places in the country do.

Salva Brava is a wonderful local Mexican restaurant located along historic Rt. 66. You may have seen it featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. When Guy Fieri visited, he ordered the Stuffed Chicken Sopaipilla, and boy is it delicious!

It happened by chance when we were talking with a friend of ours, John Conley (current owner of Salsa Brava), who then owned Old Town Creperie. During the course of our conversation, he mentioned that he was thinking about selling Old Town Creperie.

Salsa Brava - I maintain that Burritos Fiesta is the best Mexican in Flag, but this is your more "sit down to dinner" place. Also BF doesn't have booze. Salsa Brava has a great salsa bar, good margaritas, and perfectly good Mexican cuisine.

The stuffed sopapilla on the menu at Salsa Brava immediately caught my eye. Plenty of restaurants in the Southwest have sopapillas on the menu. They’re usually pillows of fried dough, often with sweet fillings.
