Reviews Summary

Charly's Pub & Grill is praised for its unique Navajo tacos and French onion soup, with many enjoying the historic ambiance and friendly service. However, some diners have encountered significant service delays and unprofessional interactions with staff.

"Pretty good place to eat. The restaurant was clean, the food was good and the service was friendly. Nothing extraordinary about this place, more like bar food but in a cool atmosphere. I'd go again, because why not."

"We found Charly's because I was looking for a place that served French Onion soup - and it did not disappoint! The broth was rich and salty (which I prefer over sweet), loaded with onions, and perfectly done cheese. chef's kiss Others in my party enjoyed the Bartenders (chicken tenders), which were nicely battered and juicy, and the fried shrimp. Both came with generous portions of waffle fries. There were enough options for all tastes and ages. Our server, Zack, was also excellent! Heads up, since this is a restaurant at a historic hotel, they do add "historic preservation " fees to the bill. That was new for me... All in this was a great place to eat and would definitely recommend."

"We were visiting from out of town. Landed here for dinner. Before entering the bar/restaurant area we were asked by a young man there if we were there for the blues band that was starting at 7:00pm (it was 5:44pm). We told him no, had no idea there was going to be a blues band (not even a fan really, but that is not the point here). He told us there was a $10 cover charge for the band. Again, nope, just wanted to get something to eat. He literally told us he would come through looking for us once the band started to collect the cover charge! It was ridiculous! We were out of there well before the music even started. I get the cover charge thing, but someone needs to show this young man how to address this in a more professional manner! Our server/bartender, on the other hand, was top-notch!! Food was good too, but we won’t be back."

Charly’s Pub & Grill is inside of the historic Hotel Weatherford, which is worth checking out even if you aren’t staying there. The pub is a cozy space with plenty of tables and plenty of room at the bar, with a beautiful fire place to warm you up on cooler Northern Arizona nights. The pub has a great selection of craft beers for a reasonable price, as well as spirits and wine.

Charly’s is a delicious southwest menu in a classical historic setting. Located in the Weatherford Hotel looking around at the nic-nacs and pictures is cool in itself. Our personal favorite is the Navajo taco any time of day.
