Reviews Summary

The Banks Alehouse is praised for its extensive craft beer selection and generous, delicious food portions, particularly the loaded nachos and burgers. While many enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, some reviews mention slow service or a lack of flavor in certain dishes. It's a popular spot for families and sports fans alike.

"Food was quick, as well as the hostess. She was on it, always refilling drinks without having to wait, and was very pleasant.

Fried pickles for the app and the child who said she didn’t like or want any after the first bite started boarding and stockpiling them on her side because they were that good 🤦😂 almost ordered a second one but we had food right behind it.

We had the limited time drinks from the bar that I can’t remember the name of. It was a citrus coconut island 🏝️ style drink and it was delicious. I wasn’t feeling a beer that afternoon and my wife and I were really impressed with the fresh drinks being made at the bar. They came with fresh limes and thyme as well.

We opted for the loaded nachos and she recommended a half order due to the absurdly large portion, so we did and wow they really are massive! The nachos were delicious with pulled pork, steak cooked medium rare, and all the toppings you’d expect like jalepenos and cheese.

My wife got the cheesesteak and it was every bit as good as the best cheesesteak joints in Fairbanks, I will be back just to eat one for myself in the future.

My kiddo got the Mac and cheese pizza which is a very odd food gamble and she didn’t love it, which ended up being fine because dad did! Took it for a work lunch the next day. The white Alfredo sauce with the velveeta style shells and soft tender chicken and bacon ended up like a chicken bacon ranch with pasta and I was all for it!

Overall excellent experience and always like going here. My only gripe is they removed the smoked Gouda cheese sticks."

"Yay! A restaurant open on July 4th! Good service, tasty lunch: halibut tacos with red, white and blue tortilla chips (nice touch), green chile cheese elk burger with fries. And, of course, a couple of beers: Cynosure Black Lager and Hoodoo IPA. Although both of our orders were tagged as "spicy", we didn't think they were. Sat at a high top table at the bar area. A solid lunch choice especially if you want to watch a game."

"I'm kind of surprised the reviews aren't higher than they are. I've only been here once but everything I got was outstanding. The burger was great and the smoked Gouda cheese sticks were the best fried cheese sticks I've ever had anywhere. It's a nice building with typical alehouse vibes and the service was good enough. My food was made correctly. If I'm ever back in Fairbanks, I would definitely go here again."

Midnight Sun Fun - Fairbanks, Alaska

We started our Beer journey at a place called The Banks Alehouse where we met up with our friends Jason and Kristen. It’s a sports bar that has a ton of AK beer on tap, we only drank here so I can’t comment on the food but it seemed like pretty typical pub fare. For dinner we hit up a little Thai food spot called Thai House Restaurant and we were totally surprised at the authentic flavors and spice!.

Regardless of your take on brews, Banks is one of those eateries that’s perfect for the whole family. They have a full bar area, as well as a full family dining area with boots and tables. We took my mom when we first arrived, and we’ve gone a few times since, and we’re never disappointed.
