What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hunters Chop House is celebrated for its exceptional steaks, particularly the filet mignon and elk chops, and its unique wild game offerings. Diners consistently praise the cozy, hunting-lodge ambiance and the attentive, knowledgeable service. While most experiences are stellar, some guests noted a lack of complimentary bread, which was surprising for a steakhouse of its caliber.
"We did an anniversary dinner early before leaving Colorado. After a wonderful 2-week trip I was determined to get some elk and I was glad I waited! This was the best meal I had in a long time. I highly recommend the elk chops and my husband had the filet. They were both fantastic! Service was also wonderful and we even got a anniversary dessert on the house! It was a fantastic raspberry donut cheesecake!"

"Raul was awesome. From the moment we were seated and introduced it seemed he was very genuine and I knew we were going to have excellent service. Never having tried elk chops before I accepted his recommendation on how to have them cooked. Zero gaminess. The flavor was marvelous and the meat was very tender. The pilaf, the shrimp, and asparagus was excellent as well. Highly recommended checking this place out and if you're lucky possibly have Raul serve you."

"Best dinner I’ve had in a while, literally cleaned the plates. We had the filet mignon with green beans and mashed potatoes & elk chops with shrimp and green beans. The donut holes and chocolate mousse were really good as well. Seems to be more reservation based, but we were seated within 30 minutes without a reservation. If we’re ever back in the area we will definitely be returning!"
