Reviews Summary

Foster's Market is praised for its delicious, fresh food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service, making it a popular spot for breakfast and lunch. While some find it a bit pricey, the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience are often deemed worth the splurge. The charming market attached adds to its appeal, offering unique local finds.

"We called in a pick up order, and got to walk around a bit while we waited. It was crowded, but well worth it! We got a biscuit and it was delicious!! It seems like they have a good system to handle how popular they are. Can’t wait to go back!"

"Without a doubt, some
Of the best food you will eat anywhere. I consider the prices the lowest I've seen for the high quality of food. The deserts/cakes are to die for. The food shop has wonderful selections to take home. If you are near Durham, you have to visit!"

David Springs

"The place was heaving with people when we came in Saturday for late breakfast/brunch, but the ordering situation (at the counter with lots of folks taking orders) made things move along super-quickly. We had my brother and sister-in-law's dog with us and sat outside, where "all animals are welcome." (Hank is kind of an anxious fellow but after a little medication and a treat he settled pretty well -- we were in the section to the right of the front door, down a few steps, which was unoccupied except by us for the majority of our visit.)
I ordered the omelette with corn, asparagus, and I don't know what else, but it was massive and SOOOOO good! Wish I had paid attention to the sauce but it made the dish. Came with home fries that were also delicious. SIL had avocado toast, brother had chilaquiles, and both of their plates were spotless when they finished (WITHOUT help from Hank 😉), and we all enjoyed our coffees, one brewed and two fancy.
The staff was amazing and friendly, the lines moved quickly, and the atmosphere was fun and congenial. Will definitely be back and bringing more visitors!"

The Top 10 Brunches In Durham, North Carolina

When you’re pulling up to a less-than-enticing building on the side of a highway, you might feel like you’re made the wrong choice with Foster’s Market. However, as soon as you step inside, you’ll be convinced. The front part of the restaurant is more like a general store, with all sorts of goodies from local and nearby producers.

Foster’s Farm Dinners: Chapel Hill Creamery’s 5-Cheese Mac-and-Cheese

Early on, he noted in a phone call to California that Chapel Hill could be ‘it’, based on his visit to Foster’s Market there. “It’s a really ‘Nancie’ kind of place”, he told me, meaning that they had great coffee, fantastic food, and tables where you could sit and read or do some work. He was right, and I have since been found often, mostly at the Chaple Hill location, for PTA committee meetings, deadline-frenzied writing sessions, salad-plate suppers, wood fired pizzas, CHOP NC planning sessions, cakes and pies of magnificent deliciousness, candy-purchasing for Christmas stockings (shhhhh, don’t tell), Foster’s 7 Pepper Jelly restocking, newspaper browsing, and big chunky mugs of coffee.
