"Been in Detroit 40+ years and had to find out about this place from a relative in Pittsburgh.
Lunch with hubby was absolutely wonderful. We went around 3pm on a Friday. Only a few people ahead of us in the ordering line. Plenty of seating. Food is made to order, so it took a few minutes, but was so worth the wait!!
I'm not a spicy-food person, but I loved the jerk chicken, the jollafa rice, and have found my favorite plantain!!! 😋 Fries were a little disappointing, but I know not to order them, next time.
Everything about this place was excellent: service, food, atmosphere, even the price wasn't too bad ($13-15/meal).
Can't wait to go back and try all the vegan options!"

"Definitely deserves more than 5 stars. This place is a vibe in itself. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was amazing as well everyone was so kind. Even got to try some food before we ordered. So glad we found you. See y'all again very soon 🖤🖤🖤"

"Had just gotten off the train and needed a quick bite before my ride picked me up. This was right up the street and the flavors were right up my alley. I ordered the From The Sea Village meal, this is the quick bite size, and it was delicious. The fish was super crispy and fried really well. The greens weren’t overpowered by the truffle oil, which I was worried about, and the rice was delicious. I especially loved the plantain, spicy undertones but still sweet. Only wish is that there was a second piece of fish but I’ll live! I’ll definitely be back!"
