What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Taqueria Mi Pueblo is consistently praised for its authentic Jalisco-style Mexican fare, with many highlighting the fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes. The friendly service and vibrant, pueblo-style atmosphere add to the positive dining experience. While generally excellent, some reviews suggest minor inconsistencies with certain items like chips or guacamole seasoning.
"Excellent food and service. We were seated promptly and our food came to us in a timely manner after we ordered. Everything tastes quite good!"
Johnny Kash
"Overall in comparison to other Mexican restaurants that are within the same area in Detroit this restaurant was very good. I enjoyed the spicy salsa a lot. The chips were good but I wish they had been thinner.
The rice and beans were some of the best I’ve had in comparison to other Mexican restaurants (who serve similar rice and beans). I had the quesadilla dinner (chicken) and it was good. I also ordered guacamole and I’ve had better. There was no seasoning in it.
Service was good and the staff were very friendly. The menu is expansive."
Ashley Yaldo
"Was in Michigan (my home state) for a funeral and a visit, and the people we were with recommended this place. I am REALLY picky about Mexican food, because where I live in Florida, there are a LOT of GOOD, AUTHENTIC Mexican places. We were assured that we wouldn't be disappointed.
Well,....WOW! It was AMAZING! From the start, we were given some VERY GOOD chips and salsa, and then we ordered our food...I honestly dont remember what it was called, but it was REALLY GOOD, and the portion size was ample and filling! The server was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere was really cool. I also liked the way the building looked inside! It was very inviting, and there was this WONDERFUL SMELL of all that was being cooked and served while we were there! I would say 10 our of 10 overall for the experience. We've been to Mexicantown in the past when we lived in Michigan, but this was the first time in a LONG time that I had ever eaten here! If I'm ever in the Detroit area again, and want Mexican, this will be my "go to" spot! I left very full and enjoyed the dining experience immensely! So Gracias por ustedes Muy Bueno y muy Sabroso Comida Mexicana!!!!"
