What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Brasserie Brixton is celebrated for its exceptional French fusion cuisine, with standout dishes like the duck and French onion soup receiving high praise. The friendly service and vibrant, laid-back atmosphere contribute to a memorable dining experience. However, some guests find the portion sizes underwhelming for the price, and a few have noted inconsistencies in seasoning and service speed during peak hours.
"20/10 experience. Our server was amazing and gave great recommendations. Every dish, every cocktail, and even the house wine was a level of quality that you don’t normally get and it was so refreshing. The menu was the perfect size with a good balance of unique & traditional dishes. For apps We got the French onion soup, pate, and the Brussels sprouts which all surprised us with how good they were. The main course we had steak and duck WOW! Cooked to perfection with unique flavors. The restaurant is on the pricier side, but worth every penny in my opinion."

"This place is dope. We have been here twice now before and after the MICHELIN star! Their menu is simple and doesn't overwhelm you. The dishes are exceptional and is beyond perfection. We got brunch recently and the Pate was DELICIOUS!! Our server was great with wonderful recommendations. This spot is very minimalist and does the job. We will certainly come back :)"

"I had been wanting to try this place for a while and made a reservation almost two weeks in advance to bring my family, who was visiting from abroad. The restaurant is very chic and trendy, with great ambiance and a vibe that feels more something like you’d find in cities like Chicago. I had really high hopes, considering it’s featuring in the Michelin Guide.
From the outside, it seemed like a top dining experience, and the restaurant was completely full, which I was happy to see. But true quality is shown when a place can maintain excellence even at peak capacity, and unfortunately, that was not the case.
We ordered several dishes to share across courses. We started with the lox, the pâté, and the steak tartare. Then we had the burger, followed by the chocolate cake and the crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was just OK. Nicely presented, but none of the dishes stood out in flavor. The wait between courses was also loooong. I was very close to standing up and go to the kitchen myself to ask for our food.
I’ve been to many French restaurants and Michelin ones, and while the ambiance here is overall very nice, this one doesn’t rank near the top. I left with mixed feelings. I really wanted to love it, but I’m not sure I’d come back."

10 of Denver’s Best French Restaurants
Debuted in summer 2020 on a calm corner in the Cole neighborhood, Brasserie Brixton has many of the Parisian standards, including beef tartare and French onion soup. But dishes like blood-sausage-stuffed fried wontons with tamari vinaigrette and chile crisp and a caviar bump for high-fliers indicate that the open-kitchen-equipped brasserie has more than just the classics up its sleeve. The duck entrée, for example, forgoes the à la orange treatment for an accompaniment of radish cake, duck egg, and sweet soy.
