What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners praise Papa's Tapas for its authentic Spanish flavors, particularly the paella and a wide selection of tapas. The cozy and romantic atmosphere is a frequent highlight, making it a great spot for lingering conversations. However, some reviews mention issues with saltiness in certain dishes and occasional inconsistencies in preparation, alongside concerns about noise levels during peak times.
"Everything tasted so good!! The seafood platter was chef’s kiss, the calamari was
Great. The lamb… plantain… EVERYTHING!!
I am giving the food 4 stars because of one specific reason (in my opinion) it was too salty. Just like when you adding spice(hot peppers ) in the food, you have to be mindful of every single person that will be eating it, to me Salt is the same.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that the food wasn’t great. On the other hand, everything was cooked to perfection tasted delicious, but the salt was also a lot.
I would definitely recommend the place. The paella was so good that I had to bring it home. But also on the other hand, I would ask them for less salt next time when I visit"

"Great selection of Spanish tapas, both hot and cold plus some nice Spanish dishes including paella which takes 1 hour to make. Tre was a great sever.
Went on a Saturday night, mistake, much too loud and noisy. Been here several times before when it was much more enjoyable with the noise level.
I tried the Fried Calamari, lightly battered calamari and fried vegetables with aioli
Sweet Angels and the Cazuelita, shrimp, scallops, calamari, mushrooms & chorizo sautéed with garlic, olive oil, and white wine, both were very good.
My wife ordered the sweet plantains wrapped in applewood bacon and drizzled with a butter brandy. Also the Meatballs Andalucia, meatballs made with beef, mozzarella, dates and almonds served in tomato Pisto sauce . Also very good.
Definitely something different than the normal except of for the noise level."

"We went for dinner on a Wednesday and ordered entirely from the long tapas menu, skipping the main entrees. Spanish omelet, garbanzo/chorizo, patatas bravas and tostones tapas were very good. Jamon Serrano was okay; surprised they did not have the higher-quality Jamon Iberico. The wine list was limited, but had decent options from Ribera del Duero. Our server seemed somewhat inexperienced, but was caring and kind - not a problem. Our seating was odd - 80% of the tables were empty yet the greeter sat us right next to another couple, wherein our tables were practically touching. We assumed that other reservations would soon be filling the small restaurant, but the place was 70% empty when we were finished. We were not there for Happy Hour, but noted they have good HH values."

13 Delray Beach Restaurants You Have To Visit
One of the best breakfast and brunch restaurants in Delray Beach, Papa’s Tapas is a hidden gem near Hilton’s Ray Hotel. As a vegan, I absolutely loved their couscous platter, but their menu also has plenty of standard breakfast/brunch options like omelets, quesadillas, soups, and flavorful bowls which can be made into burritos (or the other way around). The visitors also leave great reviews for their sangria.
