I was working for a client here in Corpus Christi and they said this is one of their favorite spots to visit. from what I understand this is a local favorite and it’s kind of a hole in a wall kind of place."

"Brisket had a good flavor, but looked as if it was from yesterday. Pork Ribs were the same. Reason this was rated a 2 star, was because of this issue and the room continued to fill with smoke. Service was great. Pinto Beans were great. First bad experience here."

"Not sure if I just came at the wrong time or the times are just that hard but they were out of everything from buns to sausage to chicken.
I got the one meet plate with double green beans, the beans tasted like they were straight out of a can with some onion tossed in, didn't even finish them, they were so bland. The marbled brisket wasn't much better. There was plenty of it, but it was tough to the point needing to cut it with the flimsy plastic knife I was given. Tasted like it needed a few more hours in the smoker and the tiny smoke ring on the meat backs that up.
Over all it was highly disappointing for the 16 dollar price point. Very likely won't be back next time I'm in town on business."
