Northstar’s imaginative menu has a healthful emphasis on organic ingredients, with vegetarian and vegan options. American cuisine, highly recommended Turkey and Sweet Potato Hash and Cloud Nine Ricotta Pancakes. Custom housemade sodas (like Orange Cream and Ginger Ale) and select cocktails also available.

In this category, I have a special affinity for the patios at Northstar Cafe in Westerville and the Short North. These particular locations just hit the spot for me. While the Easton location is also good, there’s an extra sprinkle of ambiance and energy at the Westerville and Short North locations.

The Cloud Nine Pancakes at Northstar Cafe will put you on, well, you get the idea. Fox in the Snow also serves up breakfast sandwiches and pastries worthy of the ‘Gram, and for a truly outstanding Bloody Mary to accompany your chicken and waffles drenched in blueberry sauce, don’t miss The Pearl.

Well, Northstar differentiates itself by offering to serve everything on the menu meat and dairy free. “Their food is all natural and healthy, and completely unique to the restaurant,” OSU senior Rina Patel said. To add to that impressive list, they also serve house-made sodas.

What makes Northstar great in my opinion is that almost all of their offerings can be made vegetarian. I have ordered their Chicken and Avocado Sandwich with tofu instead of chicken. Their salads and wraps are made with chicken or tofu and their pizzas are all vegetarian.

If you are looking for great public golf in Central Ohio, Darby Creek, Cumberland Trail Golf Club, Homestead Springs, NorthStar and Crooks Creek are all highly rated and have received five-star reviews from players, who have enjoyed their rounds at these courses.
