"Just Awesome 🔥. Abigail Street may have rocketed to the Top of list on Our date night & dine rankings. We were actually searching for a place to dine after being terribly disappointed at one of our favorite frequent stops for dinner, and decided to finally give this place a try since we were in the downtown area. The host quickly found us seating at the bar, and was genuinely polite. We immediately liked the atmosphere. Overall, the service was wonderful, the drinks were splendid, and our food was Impeccable. Little did we know, this place would immediately become a #1 Mediterranean favorite. We'll return to try more on the menu."

"Absolutely loved the vibe, wine and food! The decor is on point and loved the large, open windows! The food was elevated and extremely innovative, the freshly baked pita is the best I’ve had so far and loved the za’atar topping! What really caught my eye was the stuffed date with chorizo, wrapped in bacon; it was a showstopper for sure! They also have outdoor seating!"

We got the hummus plate, Bouillabaisse and gnocchi and all of them were fabulous! Can’t wait to come back with friends and try even more amazing food!!"

The plates may be small, but the flavors are big and bold at this Mediterranean wine bar, like this Well-Provisioned Hummus with zhug sauce, chickpeas, labneh (strained yogurt), and red za’atar. M uch of the produce that comprises the Mediterranean small plates at Abigail Street—Dan and Lana Wright’s expanded “Mediterranean wine bar”—comes out of a hatchback. Every week, vendors like “Farmer Sallie” and “Farmer Eli” pull up to the back of the hip Over-the-Rhine eatery, pop the hatch, and unload their verdant wares.

Things are changing at Abigail Street – the Middle Eastern/North African restaurant opened in 2011 by Chicago native Dan Wright and his wife, Lana, who grew up in Cincinnati. It will soon expand into the old Senate space next door (also owned by the Wrights) where former sous chef Joe Bedel will take over from long-time chef Yousef Shtiewi, who will become culinary director of the Wrights' Queen City Hospitality Group. The menu will also be expanded substantially.
