"Consistency is excellent across every Velvet Taco I’ve been to. As a vegetarian, I recommend the Buffalo Cauliflower and Nashville Hot Tofu tacos (no, don’t get the fried paneer). I always order the Crisp Tots no bacon (the goat cheese and sunny egg combine together to make a delectable flavor). Dining space is very little, though this is the case with most Velvet Tacos nationwide other than maybe the Lincoln Park location. This is a great place to get food after going out as they are open very late. Understand that late night is honestly probably one of their busiest times, so don’t expect great seating availability. But the food is a 10/10 so I can’t really complain!"

"This is one of the most iconic taco places in Chicago. This location on State Street is right in the heart of Gold Coast. This is a great place to go when you need a bite, but don’t want to go into one of the mega expensive restaurants nearby. They have Great vegetarian options and also a good selection of beer and cocktails. Don’t even think about parking nearby without a SpotHero."

"Great little taco place! Hubby and I loved it. We got the two taco combo with side and drinks. Most taco places I go to, you need three tacos minimum to fill up. The tacos here were stuffed full. I couldn't finish my second taco! Seating in kind of limited, so make sure you get there when they are not busy or just get your order to go. Definite repeat!!"
