Kuma's to-go lineup includes 13 burgers, like the fan-favorite High on Fire with Sriracha hot sauce, roasted red pepper, prosciutto, pineapple and sweet chili paste. You can even toss in BBQ pork fries, buffalo chicken tenders, and the fully loaded mac and cheese.

Many Chicago residents know Kuma’s Corner as “that death metal with the incredible burgers where you have to wait forever to get a seat” and that’s fairly accurate. The bar blares metal, will not take music requests, and features rules like “We will not ‘put on the game, bro.’” There are no reservations, so if you go during a typical lunch or dinner hour, you’ll expect to wait a solid two hours before you get a seat. The Converge is their only fully vegan burger (the black bean veggie patty has eggs) but man, did they clearly take their time in perfecting this burger. The Converge has everything you want in a decadent vegan burger, complete with an Impossible patty, cherry tomato jam, avocado mash, arugula, red onion, vegan cheddar, and roasted garlic mayo on a homestyle bun.

Personally, I’m not a fan, but what I do enjoy is Kuma’s Corner—a heavy-metal-themed burger joint at Fulton Market. They also have a range of local beers on tap. The menu is mid-ranged as far as burgers go, and everything is themed after metal bands.

If you like your burgers with a side of heavy metal (and ridiculous mac and cheese), Kuma’s your guy. Just don’t be alarmed ordering the Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden.
