Reviews Summary

Kuma's Corner is celebrated for its creative, award-winning burgers and immersive heavy metal atmosphere. While many praise the unique burger creations and vibrant vibe, some diners mention issues with cleanliness and occasionally overcooked burgers. The extensive beer selection and friendly staff are also frequently highlighted as positive aspects of the dining experience.

"Amazing burgers! Really loved everything I ate here, my only gripe is that the chips weren’t salted but given how great everything else was I wasn’t upset by it. Personally the cherry cola tasted odd to me (kinda like cherry flavored medicine) but it was alright. I didn’t try the caramel nut fudge but my friend said it was amazing as well and she really enjoyed the vanilla ice cream.
Overall would definitely come here again."

"The price was a little high. However, the quality of the meat seemed really good. The burgers were delicious. I paid the upcharge for a side salad instead of fries. It was HUGE. All of the vegetables were very fresh, not 1 brown piece of lettuce.

The bathrooms were not great. That's usually what happens in the unisex ones."

Cathy Simmons

"The service and atmosphere were great. We even had a roving marching band come in and play. I believe they were led by Krampus. The cheese curds, mac n cheese, and avocado salad were really good. I didn't care for the burger. I had the Iron. Maiden. A pretzel bun always 5 the taste of whatever is inside. The burger itself was pretty good."

America Fun Fact of the Day

The Most American Restaurants of: CHICAGO

Many Chicago residents know Kuma’s Corner as “that death metal with the incredible burgers where you have to wait forever to get a seat” and that’s fairly accurate. The bar blares metal, will not take music requests, and features rules like “We will not ‘put on the game, bro.’” There are no reservations, so if you go during a typical lunch or dinner hour, you’ll expect to wait a solid two hours before you get a seat. And you all have to wait- when Lady Gaga decided to try the place out, she had to wait like everyone else.

If you’re craving an incredibly satisfying vegan burger in Chicago, Kuma’s Corner is your spot. The Converge is their only fully vegan burger (the black bean veggie patty has eggs) but man, did they clearly take their time in perfecting this burger. The Converge has everything you want in a decadent vegan burger, complete with an Impossible patty, cherry tomato jam, avocado mash, arugula, red onion, vegan cheddar, and roasted garlic mayo on a homestyle bun.

It's not a quiet place to eat — the restaurant's slogan is "Support your community. Eat beef. Bang your head." But with all the pyrotechnics that go off when you take a bite, the heavy metal doesn't just make sense — it's a perfect fit. There are burgers with tomatillo salsa and fried chiles, and burgers with Sriracha and grilled pineapple, but you have to start with the signature Kuma Burger: bacon, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion and a fried egg.
