Reviews Summary
Cindy's Rooftop is renowned for its breathtaking views and vibrant atmosphere, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. While many praise the creative cocktails and some standout dishes like the chilaquiles, others have found the dinner menu inconsistent or overpriced, suggesting the views are the primary draw. Service is generally attentive, though some experiences have noted issues with noise levels or perceived manager indifference.
"Cindy’s Rooftop was one of the most memorable moments of our trip to Chicago. The view, stretching over Millennium Park and Lake Michigan, is absolutely magical—especially at sunset, when the sky turns warm shades and the city lights start to sparkle. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, with friendly and attentive service. Every dish is beautifully prepared, both in flavor and presentation. A perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself to an unforgettable moment. During the res i had clearly "wedding anniversary" (check the email july 23rd) That said, having booked from Italy to celebrate our anniversary, we couldn’t have known there would be such a loud and constant level of noise that made conversation almost impossible. Unfortunately, we were first seated at a table with one chair and a soft, sinking couch that made it impossible to sit properly and eat. Only after I complained—imagine the difficulty of doing so on our wedding anniversary—the manager showed no real concern for our situation. I even explained that nothing on the reservation website said, “for dining or for falling asleep on a mushy couch.” I was ready to leave, disappointed and upset, when a wonderful waiter (you were fantastic!) stepped in and found a chair for me.
Not for a couple!
Waiter: 10/10. Manager: 3/10"

"I recently had the opportunity to dine at Cindy's Top in downtown Chicago, and while the experience had its highlights, there were also several disappointments.
First and foremost, the views from the restaurant are absolutely stunning. You can't beat the beautiful skyline and the vibrant atmosphere. The service was also commendable; the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our visit.
I particularly enjoyed the cocktails, which were creative and delicious. However, I was left disappointed by the dinner options. I had seen reviews showcasing mouth-watering burgers and fries, but we quickly discovered that the menu changes for dinner. While we were able to order a burger for my grandson, my pregnant daughter-in-law who was craving a simple burger and fries was unfortunately denied that option. Had we known about the menu change beforehand, we likely would have opted to skip dinner altogether.
The appetizers were rather basic, and the whitefish dip tasted like albacore fish from a can. My Caesar salad, too, lacked flavor. As for the steak with fries, which came at a steep price of $62, it felt overrated considering the overall experience. Despite our hunger, it was tough to justify the expense for what we received.
In summary, dining at Cindy's Top felt much more about the location and the views than the food itself. If we hadn’t been so hungry, we would have been better off just enjoying cocktails and soaking in the scenery. While I appreciate the ambiance, I do hope they can improve their dinner menu in the future."

"Delicious food and generous portions — we tried the salmon, meat, and a roasted carrot starter, all outstanding. The atmosphere is great, and the rooftop view over Millennium Park is spectacular. You can grab a drink without a reservation, but I recommend booking ahead for the restaurant. Definitely worth the visit!"
