Frothy Monkey didn’t originate in Chattanooga, but the Southside staple sure feels at home inside the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo. The all-day café makes for the perfect brunch locale any (or every) day of the week, and with delicious entrées including Loaded Biscuits & Chorizo Gravy, Vanilla-Cinnamon French Toast, and Huevos Rolandos, why wouldn’t you?. In addition to the café, Frothy Monkey wears the hat of specialty coffee roaster, and its signature coffee is a highlight.

Another joint as good for breakfast as it is for lunch or dinner, Frothy Monkey is often packed with families, so you know this is another great Chattanooga children’s attraction. Adults will find plenty of options ranging from the healthy to indulgent, along with coffee drinks and cocktails for later in the day. The kids’ menu includes favorites like a classic PB+J served w chips & orange slices, whole-grain silver-dollar pancakes, and ham and cheese sandwiches.

We have our neighbors to the north to thank for this one - Frothy is a Nashville original, but we think the Chattanooga location in the historic Choo-Choo terminal does it better. It's right next door to one of our favorite restaurants (Stir), and this place is also very grand - you can appreciate the history everywhere you look. Easily the most robust food menu of any of the coffee options, people often go here for dinner and casual hangs.

It is something known by everyone that the people of Chattanooga love great bars, one such bar that takes after a five-star hotel is Frothy Monkey. The first glance at the building of Frothy Monkey makes you mesmerized as you get impressed by the grandeur and opulence of this bar. After this, even if you do not want to have a drink at that time, it becomes almost impossible to stop your steps toward this bar.

Frothy Monkey // Okay, so this isn’t a purely local Chattanooga spot, but it’s a Tennessee establishment and it’s still pretty cool. Frothy Monkey is a recent addition to Chattanooga’s food scene with its new location at the Choo Choo on the city’s Southside. This restaurant and coffee bar has several locations in Tennessee with most around Nashville, but you’re in luck because there is one inside the Chattanooga Choo Choo!. This is “an all day cafe, specialty coffee roaster and wholesale bakery”. On the Menu: Brunch until 5 every day, gourmet coffees of all sorts, seasonal drinks, tea, pastries, bagels, sandwiches, salads and a wonderful dinner menu.

Part coffeehouse, part restaurant, Frothy Monkey is located at the Chattanooga Choo Choo in Southside. The signature coffees on-site, roasted in Nashville, include the medium roasted 12 South Blend, and Frothy’s Cold Brew Coffee is available in cans or on draft. The business’ Roaster Series showcases innovative coffee producers moving the industry forward.

Frothy Monkey // My friends and I had dinner here during Restaurant Week this summer, and I finished off my meal with a slice of their special Tiramisu Cake. Y’all, I love classic tiramisu, but that cake was some of the best dessert I’ve had in all of Chattanooga. Frothy Monkey has some dessert regulars and also some rotating daily cake and pie specials.

The Frothy Monkey is attached to Chattanooga Cho Cho and is in a gorgeous old railway building with high ceilings and an industrial feel to it. They offer delicious coffee with a variety of unique flavors and very tasty tried and true options like a vanilla latte. The coffee comes in large cups with a fun design on top.

Your first stop in your quest for the best coffee in Chattanooga is the Frothy Monkey. This coffee shop and café has quickly gained a reputation as one of the best coffee shops in the area. Upon entering, the aroma of freshly-roasted coffee beans hits you, giving you a hint of the delight awaiting your taste buds.

Frothy Monkey at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel- We don’t usually eat at our hotel, but we got in late. It was good and we ended up eating breakfast at the Frothy Monkey too. I did not realize til later, but if you stay in the hotel, they serve coffee in the hall by the elevator and it is Frothy Monkey coffee.

Frothy Monkey has been a favorite stop in Chattanooga since 2005. All food and drinks are scratch-made using locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible. Their hot chocolate is made with milk from Hatcher Family Dairy, a farm in College Grove that's been operating since 1831.

The Turtle Latte and the Golden Monkey Latte with espresso were delicious, and the Andouille Scramble Bowl was exceptional. The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly. Public parking is available in the covered garage, and the restaurant is well staffed.
