What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Yunta is celebrated for its innovative Peruvian Nikkei cuisine, with many highlighting the fresh ceviche, tender Lomo Saltado, and unique fusion sushi. The attentive service and warm, upscale atmosphere contribute to a memorable dining experience. However, some diners have noted that portion sizes can be on the smaller side, and one reviewer had a negative experience with reservation booking procedures.
"This place is so amazing! The food is a Peruvian fusion so for all the native Peruvians, it is not like eating in Peru, however, for those Americans, who have never had the privilege to try authentic Peruvian cuisine, this will still knock their socks off! The taste of the food is absolutely amazing. The Casitas with blue crab, and the lomo were phenomenal. The Amazonica rice plate and ceviche classico were also very good. Was a little disappointed with the Chicharron because one of the four pieces was only fat. However, the taste of it was good. Be sure to ask for the limo or Aji Amarillo sauce to dip the food in because it is incredible. The Lucama chocolate ball is out of this world. This place will definitely not disappoint. Also the Yuka balls were tasty, but probably would not get them again. The aji Amarillo sauce made them much better. I will also say that it is inexpensive restaurant and you do not get very large portions of most of the food. So don’t come expecting large dishes."

"Absolutely fantastic experience!
The seafood paella was rich and flavorful, the grilled octopus perfectly cooked with a nice char, the ceviches were fresh and zesty, and the salmon was tender and delicious. The drinks were just as impressive, well crafted and balanced. Service was attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend Yunta for anyone looking for top-notch seafood and a great night out in Charlotte!"

"I was at Junta on Thursday, and I have to say: the place and its decoration are very pleasant. The service was also quite good, and the food was excellent. My favorite dishes were the shrimp croquettes and the torched scallop nigiris. The music and atmosphere were really nice for a Thursday night, making it a very enjoyable experience.
Overall, it’s a very, very good place. Highly recommended. I hope that when I go back to Charlotte, I can return because it’s truly a spot where you have a great time. They serve good drinks, and at the same time, the food is absolutely delicious."
