Reviews Summary
Edmund's Oast offers a unique New American dining experience with an impressive craft beer selection and creative cocktails. While many praise the delicious food, flavorful dishes, and inviting atmosphere, some diners have noted issues with service speed and consistency, particularly during busy periods. The outdoor seating area is a popular highlight for its relaxed vibe.
"Lunch outside is SO GREAT!! Cool breezes blow. Lots of shady areas and they have fans on. They have both large picnic tables & large tables with chairs. Menus wait for you at the tables...you walk over to the bar to place your order & pay & then they carry your order out to ya.! We arrived about 11:55 a.m. on a Thursday-not even crowded. :) You can have your dog under the table or the baby in a stroller next to the table.
Food servings are enough to share the 2 piece fried chicken with 2 sides. Love Love Love the Mac & Peas side as a meal!!! Thank you for a Wonderful lunch outside!"

"Finally got the chance to try this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. While we really enjoy Edmund’s Oast beer, the restaurant side didn’t make the same impression. The food was good, and the portions were generous, but something felt missing. My wife ordered the fried catfish with grits, which was the standout dish of the night. My son and I shared the whole chicken, with one half original and the other half Korean style. The original was underwhelming, but the Korean-style chicken was packed with flavor and heat. As for the sides—rice and beans, collard greens, and pasta salad—they were good but nothing particularly memorable.
The service wasn’t bad, just a bit off and felt a little strange. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and I can see why reservations are necessary. Overall, I’d rate it a 4.5. It’s a solid spot, but we didn’t leave feeling like it was somewhere we’d come back to."

"The prettiest key lime I ever did see! We came here for our double birthday dinner and we're blown away with the incredible customer service, chill vibes amazing food (order the green goddess salad with fried chicken you won't be disappointed!). They made our birthday feel so special in such a lovely venue. By far the best restaurant and brewpub in Charleston!"

Best Breweries in Charleston, SC: Where to Find the Best Craft Beer
Est: 2014 | NoMo / King ExtensionThis James Beard semi-finalist brewpub on Morrison Avenue has been punching way above its weight since the day it opened, pouring excellent housemade beers alongside hard-to-get stuff from brewing pals across the country (and around the world, for that matter.) This is definitely a restaurant, with in-house charcuterie & legit entrees, so don’t roll up expecting tater tots, pizzas, and the like. For that, you’re better off a little further up the road at Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co., their full-scale production brewery in the new Pacific Box & Crate development on King Extension. There you’ll find more of their beers, a slightly more casual atmosphere, and a chill patio favored by many young Charleston parents with kiddos in tow.

The kitchen's mac-and-peas and crunchy salad with shrimp, featuring the region's hallmark ingredients, are almost universally adored. The atmosphere is chic yet comfortable with large booths, canvas chairs, and a huge bar, while an outdoor patio invites you to sip in the sunshine.

Sipping Through Charleston
A brewery, beer destination and restaurant in one, Edmund’s Oast turns out house-made charcuterie and quality dishes in a massive outdoor beer garden and indoor restaurant space alongside house beers, guest beers, cocktails and spirits (heavy on American whiskey but including everything from amari to gin). Head bartender Jayce McConnell ensures spirits drinkers won’t suffer for choices alongside the beer crowd. What to Drink: Go the vacation-like, savory Thai route with the likes of Pad Thai Mai Tai (rum, curaçao, lime, peanut, cilantro and a Charleston gold rice “orgeata”—an orgeat-horchata mix) or focus on whiskey with a drink like The Cowboy Song (Wyoming whiskey, huckleberry, mint, Peychaud’s bitters).http://edmundsoast.com
