Reviews Summary

Diners praise Susuru for its authentic Japanese izakaya experience, vibrant retro atmosphere, and delicious offerings, particularly the ramen and yakitori. While generally positive, some reviews note that food can be served lukewarm, and prices might be considered a bit high, though ultimately worth it for the quality and overall experience.

"Although the menu didn’t surprise me, everything we ordered was really good. Our server Ally was very attentive and even shared her personal favorites from the menu, which was a nice touch. The beer selection was quite interesting, and from the moment you walk in, the authentic vibe of the restaurant makes the whole experience enjoyable. 🍜✨🍻"

"On our road trip from Fort Lauderdale back to Boston, we made a stop in Orlando and spent two exciting days exploring the Disney theme parks. Thanks to recommendations from fellow Google Local Guides, we decided to check out Susuru, a Japanese restaurant that caught our attention.

We arrived around dinnertime to find the place bustling with activity. Despite the crowd, we were quickly seated and got started with the Dengaku Shishito appetizer. It was so delicious that we immediately ordered a second round! For our main course, we enjoyed two hearty bowls of noodles, and we wrapped up the meal with a delightful tiramisu for dessert.

The restaurant’s cozy atmosphere, warm hospitality, and flavorful dishes made for a truly enjoyable and relaxing dining experience.

If you’re in the Orlando area and craving authentic Japanese flavors, Susuru is a hidden gem worth discovering. Highly recommended!"

"Japanese pub style food done very well. Appetizer portion skewered meats and veggies with savory flavors. My go to here is the chicken skin skewers and mochi wrapped bacon (weekends only for the mochi). This place is always bustling and their crafted drinks are great. The king salmon tataki is a definite banger and so is the truffle tuna. They have a different flavor soft serve daily. They’re all great. The green tea matcha tiramisu is so perfect. Only item I didn’t like were the oyster mushrooms. I couldn’t bite through them. Staff is awesome. I love it here"
