Reviews Summary

Morimoto Asia garners praise for its stunning ambiance, exceptional service, and a menu featuring impressive Pan-Asian dishes and sushi. Standout items like the Peking duck and tableside preparations create memorable experiences. However, some diners find certain dishes under-seasoned or overpriced for the flavor delivered, leading to mixed opinions on overall value.

"I have never been to a Michilen star restaurant but I can tell what sets this place apart almost immediately! The food was seasoned so well, there's a reason you don't get salt and pepper or soy sauce. You don't need it. The portions were great, I got one of the beef dishes and absolutely loved it. My husband got a vegetarian dish with cauliflower and he loved it. The desserts were amazing and everything was plated so well! 10/10 would highly recommend!"

"We came for our first night/dinner at Disney. It was also a bday celebration. I honestly wasn’t expecting much and we got mostly non-sushi items.

First of all we got a mocktail and alcoholic beverages and it was really good - def sweet, but it was good.

Spare Ribs were so tasty and meaty.

Kung Pao Cauliflowers were a hit and it was very lightly battered, which I prefer over thick batters.

A-5 Wagyu Burger Bao were perfect in size, comes with 2 and we enjoyed this one. FYI the bao is fried, I think it would be better steamed, but just my opinion.

Jyo Sashimi Combo was shared by 2 of us. The fish was so fresh and cut thick, but we really liked this.

Spider Roll was exactly what a good spider roll to taste like.

We ended the meal with a complimentary birthday ice cream. Such a great meal and way better than I expected. I recommend this restaurant and don’t forget to get the sushi/sashimi!"

"We had very mild expectations going to a celebrity Iron Chef restaurant in Disney Springs. Alas, the taste of the food and quality far exceeded our expectations! I will be back for more!

We came in during the week between Christmas and New Year's, so we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty busy around the shops but for some reason, not as busy in the restaurant. We had a reservation for 1:45pm but we got there early and asked the hostess if we can sit early. They had no problem with sitting us.

The ambiance was still very much festive with wreaths and Christmas trees up but the main decoration in the dining room is quite spectacular and draws your eyes right away.

We got some drinks and ordered a few small dim sum plates. The drinks took forever and we had already gotten through an order of dumplings and a California sushi roll.
Once we finally got our drinks they were really good. The misses got a lychee martini and I got the Japanese Old Fashioned.

In order of most flavorful and tasty items I'd have to go with the lettuce wraps first, the spare ribs second and the pork dumplings 3rd. I didn't have any sushi but my wife said it was very fresh and tasted really good. I would highly recommend this place when you're shopping around Disney Springs if you want to sit down and enjoy some Japanese food. I would gladly go back!"

SATURDAY SIX: 6 Drinks You Must Try At Disney Springs

With the addition of restaurants such as The BOATHOUSE and Morimoto Asia, Disney Springs has taken the throne from EPCOT as the best place at WDW for restaurants (and there are still more coming including STK, The Edison, and chef Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen.) We have been continually blown away at Morimoto Asia. The restaurant itself is beautiful (which is saying something because it is one of the few that wasn’t built from the ground up and instead was retro-fitted into a building from the now shuttered Pleasure Island), the service is exceptional, the menu has a ton of great options, and it is a terrific place to get drinks. The Sake Sangria is one of the restaurant’s signature drinks, but we’re going to recommend the White Lilly simply because how beautiful it is.

12 Dishes You Can't Miss In Orlando, Florida

This is the dining destination that Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney) desperately needed and deserved — it's terrific for tourists and locals alike — because the menu is full of dependable crowd-pleasers like the ribs. After braising for several hours, the pork ribs are dusted with cornstarch, fried and glazed with a combination of hoisin and sweet chili sauce. And if you're lucky enough, you can pry off all that crispy and sticky meat in one single bite.
