"LongHorn Steakhouse – Sunday Lunch, 6/22/2025

We stopped in for Sunday lunch with aging parents, including one with dementia, and the staff handled everything with patience and kindness — exactly what you hope for when wrangling both steak orders and family dynamics.

I ordered a 6 oz. filet cooked medium rare, paired with a loaded baked potato and a side salad with vinaigrette. The steak was cooked exactly as requested — warm, juicy, and just the right amount of pink. The salad was crisp and cold, just how it should be, and the baked potato came fully loaded and piping hot.

Steve had the 7-Pepper Sirloin Salad, and yes — it’s as bold as it sounds. Perfectly seared steak slices on a bed of fresh greens, blue cheese crumbles, and a zippy vinaigrette. Since it was his main dish, he didn’t get a separate starter salad like I did — but he more than made up for it with a few slices of that warm honey wheat bread. Priorities.

The restaurant was clean (well, except for the blinds — they could use a date with a dust cloth), and the vibe was relaxed enough to make lunch feel like a break from the Florida heat. We were seated quickly, our server was friendly and efficient, and everything came out hot and on time.

We’ll definitely be back. This location gets steak and service right."
