The food, particularly seafood dishes like Halibut and Cioppino, is consistently praised, complemented by attentive service. While some find it pricey, the overall dining experience is considered well worth the cost.

"I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Had a great ocean view at sunset. The waiter was attentive. Vegetarian risotto was delicious with the brussel sprouts side dish."

Thuthuy Phamle

"The view was fantastic, good for couple dates. I had steak medium well and my wife had cioppino. They only have few items on the menu but the waiter said they change it often."

Melvin B

"We stopped here on our vacation to the area.
My 12 year old son, "don't get your hopes up mom it won't be as good as you are imagining it."
Ha! He was WRONG. It WAS everything I imagined and more. The food was wonderful and the view was amazing. I loved watching the waves crash against the rocks. Granted when I sat down I wasn't about to let anyone in my family sit in the chair facing the window. My pick of restaurant my pick of the chair. ;)"

Post Ranch Inn’s Iconic Sierra Mar Bar in Big Sur

A thousand feet above the Pacific, a series of tranquil villas—nestled between redwood groves—dangles atop the clouds. Widely regarded as one of the country’s premiere luxury lodges, there’s no denying the Post Ranch Inn exists on an entirely different level. As majestic as it is secluded, it’s no wonder this hidden gem of Big Sur beckons to both HollywoodA-listers from down south and tech titans of the north for the views—and for the cocktails.

The best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at, but it's paper plates so don't expect elegance), Deetjen's (Big Sur), Tommy's Wok (in an alley behind the Wells Fargo in Carmel), the indoor/outdoor restaurant at the Highlands Inn (Carmel Highlands. Don't know if they serve dinner).
