After coffee, Crêpe Neptune is the spot for a sweet or savory breakfast with crêpes named for local spots, including “Cape Blanco” and “Manzanita.” If a full-service breakfast is more your jam, head to the Wayfarer for views of Haystack Rock, scratch-made smoked salmon Benedict, and Dungeness crab omelets.

In a region renowned for artisanal coffee, this small roaster brews some of the best espresso and coffee drinks in the state, and thus attracts java aficionados on caffeine pilgrimages from near and far eager to sample its certified-organic, fair-trade beans. Local, fresh pastries are stacked high and there's also a good selection of herbal and green teas.

I find favorable reviews and mention that it is located in the same building (space?) as Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters, but I can't find a web site, phone number, or any other specific information about the Irish Table.

Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters is where Cannon Beach does its mornings right. Tucked inside a charming old house, this is the kind of place where the line often snakes out the door, but nobody seems to mind—it’s part of the ritual. The beans are roasted in small batches on-site, turning out bold, deeply flavored brews that I learned to swear by during my stay, whether it’s a simple drip or a velvety mocha made with house-churned whipped cream.

If you are ever driving through Cannon Beach or staying in town, make sure to stop by Sleepy Monk and enjoy a hot cup of coffee!. we visit sleepy monk every day that it is open daily that we are there. great coffee, great people and very nice baked goods. not to like it! After going down the ranks of celiac-friendliness in this section, I’ve decided to end on a positive note: COFFEE!. Yup, the very best coffee in Cannon Beach can be found at the adorable Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters. Every time I’ve visited Cannon Beach, it’s been my morning routine to walk here for a to-go cup, then stroll the beach (and every time, I’ve waited in a friendly line with other people doing the exact same thing).

In Midtown, the super cozy Irish Table offers their take on Irish Coffee in the form of their Tir Na Nog, locally roasted Sleepy Monk Coffee, Irish whiskey, and whipped cream with Irish liqueur. My absolute favorite coffee shop in Cannon Beach is Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters. They have delicious coffee and pastries as well as a really cool interior, although it is small inside so plan ahead if you’re going to stay and hang out for a bit. Sea Level Coffee and Bakery is also a really cool coffee shop with more of a modern vibe that you can park at while you read your new book!

There are many things to recommend the Sleepy Monk – it’s located right next to the stop where the Point bus picks up, it has great seating outside looking out at Hemlock, the coffee is good (according to my parents), the vanilla steamer is good (according to my daughter) and the orange chocolate scone is very good (according to me).

That’s why they’re also one of our favorite coffee shops on the Oregon Coast!. All of their coffees are sourced internationally, certified organic, and roasted in small batches.

Truly, ambience, service, and quality of the coffee and baked goods left a lasting impression. Our crew had the white peach tea, Druid’s delight, hot chocolate, and Monk’s decadence. Our drinks were rich and flavorful without being overly sweet which is something that is hard to find for coffee lovers.

After a few hours spent shopping, we found our way to Taylor’s favorite coffee shop, Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters. I 100% understood the hype about it because their coffee was amazing!

Wake up with a strong cup of coffee and freshly baked goods from this local favorite coastal café… it is a favorite place to start the day for locals and visitors alike!

Some of my favorites are Sea Level Bakery, Insomnia Coffee, and Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters. Relax in the coffee shop or grab a cup to go and stroll around the beach.

Also nearby is the Sleepy Monk Coffee Shop, where you can enjoy a fresh-roasted cup of coffee in a relaxed atmosphere while the kids sleep in back at the resort.

If you know me, then you know both Tom and I take our coffee very seriously. We even have a fancy coffee grinder at home and make pour-overs every morning.

Don’t come to the Sleepy Monk expecting lightning-fast Wifi or cell reception!. Rather, enjoy the superb coffee and ambiance of a local favorite cafe.
