"I wish I could give Gatsby more than 5 stars. The food was simply perfection. The cocktails were great, the atmosphere was nice and the chef was personable. The escargot was better than what I have ever had in Paris. Hands down it is the best restaurant in Cannon Beach."

"The inside of the restaurant was clean, cozy and well decorated. It is very small, only 5 tables and is by reservation only. There is one cook and one server, both great and both spend time with each table. The food was presented beautifully. It looks better than it tastes, however, it isn't awful. I just didn't think it warrants the prices. We had a bottle of wine, sea scallops for an appetizer, one filet each, lobster tail, a loaded baked potato and green beans to share, then the cheesecake from Carnagey deli in New York, of course. Total with 20% tip was $500. The scallops were a bit overcooked and rubbery but had okay flavor. The steak was drenched in a sauce that was very salty and, in my opinion, ruined the flavor of the steak. The loaded potato was huge, you can't really go wrong with a baked potato, although, it could have used a little more butter and sour cream. The lobster, green beans and cheesecake were all very good, my favorite part of the whole meal. I'm happy to have had the experience, but I will not return in the future with the current prices."

"This was our first visit to Gatsby's but we will be back for sure. The service from everyone (hostess, bartender and chef) was AMAZING! The food was to die for. The best lobster we have ever had. Everything was prepared to perfection. We especially love that after each part of the meal came out, Chef Jeff came out to check that everything was prepared to our liking. Great place! We especially like the intimate nature of the restaurant because it's so small. Will definitely recommend that anyone going to Cannon Beach."
