Reviews Summary

Diners often praise the beautiful outdoor patio and the relaxed ambiance by the Napa River. The braised short ribs and salmon are frequently highlighted as delicious, with the brewery's offerings also being a draw. However, some guests have found the food to be inconsistent or underwhelming for the price, and service can occasionally be slow or lacking.

"A true 5 star experience! Rooms are very comfortable, location is perfect, and the staff are wonderful! Only suggestion would be to add a place to hang clothes, and put a tv in each room. Price is affordable for the area. Don’t be afraid of the shared bathrooms. Toilets and showers are completely private and there is a sink in each room. Highly recommended. Listing says breakfast is free. That is incorrect. However, they do offer free coffee and scones in the lobby. Check out Cafe Sarafornia for breakfast. You won’t be disappointed! Four minute walk from hotel."

"We stopped in for a bite after a wine tasting at a vineyard nearby. Craig was our server & he was amazing.

We really enjoyed driving through the small town of Calistoga & calling in for a drink & some lunch.

The location is wonderful. What we really enjoyed was the outside seating on this beautiful day. The grounds are so unique.

I took a stroll inside. It was so nice outside there were no patrons really inside which was just fine. On a day like the day we visited one would be remiss not enjoying a lunch outside.

If dining inside the dining room is very nice, welcoming & comfortable.

The staff made us feel so welcomed."

REX SCOTT

"What a lovely establishment. My husband and I, a couple of septuagenarians, arrived for dinner at 4:45 pm on a Wednesday. We were seated inside, our preference, despite everyone else eating outside or at the bar. The staff were extremely gracious.
I love braised beef short ribs have ordered rhem all across this country, I can honestly say these were the best I've had. Not a fatty, oily piece, but rather a very tasty, lean, but flavorful entrée served in a delicious, rich cabrtnet pan sauce. Nobody batted an eye when I requested a lovely, flavorful, crisp white Italian wine with this. To me, a red would have been too heavy, taking away from the rich flavors of my meal. My husband enjoyed the grilled pork chop as well. We both give our meal, the staff and the lovely restaurant 5 stars."

The Best Restaurants In Calistoga - Calistoga

There is no way you can walk by the Calistoga Inn, with its huge patio, bonfire, and inside/outside wraparound bar, and not stop in for a drink. While we love dropping by with a friend for a beer flight and cocktails, like the passion fruit caipirinha, the garden out back works great for larger groups and kids. When it comes to the food, go for the gnocchi with mushrooms, spinach, and corn truffle puree, and the trout pizza if it’s on the menu.

When the weather's nice, the inn's outdoor patio and beer garden edging the Napa River are swell places to hang out and sip some microbrews. Among the beer-friendly dishes, the garlic-crusted calamari appetizer and the country paella entrée stand out, along with several pizzas, the burger topped with Tillamook cheddar, and (for lunch) the Reuben with ale-braised corned beef.

We celebrated Maggie’s birthday at the Calistoga Inn and Brewery, which is an upscale restaurant with absolutely delicious food – such as the grilled Pacific swordfish with mussels, clams, and shrimp that I enjoyed. Maggie loved her beef short ribs. Both meals were very rich, but we managed somehow to find room to share a delicious crème brûlée and a teeny bottle of port.
