Reviews Summary
Tiny Thai Restaurant is lauded for its authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine, with many praising the generous portions and reasonable prices. While the food consistently receives high marks, some diners have noted that takeout quality can sometimes decline. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly service contribute to its reputation as a beloved local gem.
"Tiny Thai has quickly become my favorite restaurant in the county. I can't believe it took me so long to give this spot a try, but after my first dinner there, I was hooked—I even went back the following weekend because it was that incredible.
The menu offers an amazing variety with well-labeled dishes, and nearly everything can be modified to accommodate dietary or allergy needs. Although it's BYOB, they provide ice water, which came in handy when I forgot to bring my own. The interior is charming, though it seems many customers opt for takeout.
The food is prepared shortly after you order, and the appetizer menu is packed with classics, each paired with a variety of delectable sauces. The vegetables are fresh, the spices and sauces are out of this world, and the proteins are top-notch. For my vegan friends, they offer tofu and vegan duck, while their chicken, shrimp, and duck have all been incredibly impressive. So far, I've tried the ginger duck and the pad prik pao with duck—both were absolutely mind-blowing.
The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions you get. I honestly can't say enough good things about Tiny Thai. You simply have to try it."

"My first time there, it's Friday at 6pm and I get the last open table. At 7, there was a 45 min wait time! People love this place here. I sat next to a couple in their 50s who drove 2h to eat here! The atmosphere is great, people are friendly, happy, young clean couples and groups. The server is busy but very nice when he stops at our table. He recommends the spring rolls since we wanted something fast. The service was fast considering the place was packed. The vegetable pad Thai was sweet (maybe too much for me) and there was an after taste I didn't like (maybe an oil). My partner got a Chef's Vegetable Stir Fry. The portion was generous and there were a lot of vegetables."

Burlington Restaurants: Best Dining, Downtown & Waterfront Eats
Locals swear it’s worth it; as one Reddit user declared, “Pho Hong & Tiny Thai are the two best restaurants in VT, fire every time, great service and portions for the cost.” That’s high praise considering Tiny Thai (the other mentioned restaurant) is actually located in neighboring Winooski, proving that Burlingtonians don’t mind crossing city lines for good food!. Also in the Old North End, you’ll find Istanbul Kebab House, an easy-to-miss spot in a basement on Bank Street that serves authentic Turkish kebabs, baba ganoush, and baklava – a favorite among those craving Middle Eastern flavors beyond Honey Road’s upscale flair. And then there’s Handy’s Lunch on Maple Street, the definition of a neighborhood institution: this tiny, family-run diner has been flipping pancakes and pressing Vermont steak hoagies since the 1940s.
