Reviews Summary

A Single Pebble is celebrated for its family-style Chinese cuisine and attentive service, with many diners raving about the unique flavors and generous portions. While most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, some guests have found the tasting menu to be less value for the price, with occasional comments on dishes being too salty or bland. Nonetheless, it remains a highly recommended spot for an enjoyable and shareable dining experience.

"Amazing food, great friendly service! We stop here every time we’re in Burlington for the mock eel! I’m super happy that they added the tasting menus; I was worried going there with just two people that we wouldn’t be able to try a lot of things, but the tasting menus (a meat menu and a vegetarian menu) let us try everything while we were there for our anniversary. Love the atmosphere, and the food and drinks were delicious!"

Billy MacCartney

"We had the tangerine chicken, chicken pad Thai, potato dumplings & veggie dumplings in chili oil! Everything was very good - huge portions meant for more than one person. Everything comes to you on a lazy Susan type of thing and things just come out as they’re ready. Very fresh!

Staff was attentive and helpful, very friendly.

The turtle cheesecake is a must!

Just a note for fellow wheelchair users - call in advance and ask for a table on the first floor, there are only a few down there and they fill up! The other two sections of the restaurant are only accessible by stairs.

Great dinner and a nice night!!"

Audrey Friedman

"Had the chefs dinner here last night and, while it was delicious and enough for two, I don’t think it was worth the price. I would go with entrees next time. Especially loved the basil shrimp and the beef dish. The dessert was disappointing."

A Single Pebble, believe it or not, authentic chinese food in Burlington, VT

On days like these, there are few things less appetizing than a big heaping meal of Chinese food, but after asking nearly everyone we knew for restaurant suggestions, we found ourselves being pointed time and time again to Burlington’s A Single Pebble. It was heralded by a few of our friends as not only Burlington’s best Chinese restaurant, but, cuisine aside, also as one of Burlington’s overall best. After a threatening of Magic Wok or A Single Pebble, Torch finally caved and, throwing Amy Schleuter into the car, we headed on up to Burlington’s 133 Bank Street.
