Just a few doors down, a taste of Japan has made a home in a Breckenridge restaurant. Ramen ($28) has been on the menu of Modis for roughly a decade, and gives patrons something unique to order aside from the restaurant’s soup specials. While the flavors change with the season, it always has a base of bone broth that takes 24 hours to make from bones roasted in house.

For cocktails or a somewhat high-end dinner, Modis is pretty excellent. There was a new place last year called Twist that was really fun for slightly upscale comfort food (like carmelized shallot mac and cheese, that kind of thing). And I've heard good stuff about Ember and Mountain Flying Fish but never been myself.

No Breckenridge dining guide would be complete without mentioning Modis. If you enjoy modern, inventive menus, this is another Main Street venue that you should try. Whether you want poutine, mac and cheese, or even ramen, you’ll find it on the lunch or dinner menu.

Modis’ mixologists create one-of-a-kind craft cocktails that pair wonderfully with their dinners. We went at happy hour (3 pm to 6 pm during our visit) and sat up on the rooftop deck. The lettuce wraps and sliders are divine!.

Modis, with it’s modern flare, offers scrumptious cocktails through out the evening. Twist and Relish also serve charming cocktails in a classy atmosphere with great views.

Everything on the menu is delicious; Nothing like a great glass of wine and a warm bowl of miso ramen to warm up after a day of skiing.
