What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Parish Cafe & Bar is praised for its innovative and delicious chef-created sandwiches, alongside a lively atmosphere and great outdoor seating. While many rave about the unique flavors and quick service, some note that the indoor ambiance can be noisy, and service, while generally kind, could occasionally be more attentive. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for a flavorful and memorable meal.
"Highly suggest going after 10 PM as the sandwiches are half price and the value is strong. The sandwich bread is fresh, and the sandwiches are genuinely good. Drink prices are standard bar range. The atmosphere is fine but can get too noisy. Note that the tip is calculated on the full, non-discounted price."

"Bowl-O-Rings, Hawaii 5-, and Zuni Roll. My very picky son ate the whole Zuni Roll (so it must be good) and said it was filling. The Hawaii 5-0 is delicious and perfectly balanced. The cabbage does not overpower the sandwich in texture or flavor. It's perfectly sweet and not too sweet. The pineapple is there but does not overpower. The onion rings are light and airy and have a good crunch, and they taste better with the holidays than they do plain. They are not heavy onion rings, but they are onion rings, so expect a little grease. I was traveling to Boston, and I'm glad I ate at Parish Cafe & Bar. I would happily eat there again. They have mocktails on the drink menu, too, which is thoughtful and welcoming for everyone. It's a bar, so it's not a quiet place, but the quietest tables are in the back. Service was excellent."

"Was in town with my colleagues for a conference and we found this place. It was really crowded both inside and outside but the food was worth it. Our meals were fresh and flavorful. While the seating was tight & alil hard to get your server, the food came out quickly and portions were decent. Great lunch spot for sure!"

Where To Eat For Really, Really Cheap In Boston - Boston
The sandwiches at the Parish Cafe, a Back Bay gastropub with sidewalk tables on Boylston, aren’t as cheap as most of the other stuff on this list (they run from $17-$26). But still, this place is like a cheat code for eating at some of the best (and most expensive) places in Boston, because each sandwich on the menu was created by a different chef from a really popular restaurant around the city. So if you can’t do the $250 omakase menu at O Ya, come to the Parish and get the spicy tuna burger that O Ya’s owner put together for $26.

People may come to Parish for its culinarily crowd-sourced menu of gourmet sandwiches, but they stay for its Boylston Street patio. Besides signature faves from Ming Tsai, Michael Schlow and other local chefs, there's always something new to sample (bartenders get equally creative on the cocktail list). What never changes is the kinetic energy both inside the snug, multicolored café and out on the mega-popular patio.
