Reviews Summary
La Fabrica offers a vibrant atmosphere with delicious Spanish Caribbean cuisine and lively entertainment, particularly on weekend nights and Wednesday dance parties. While many praise the authentic flavors, attentive service, and fun ambiance, some patrons note that prices can be high and have encountered issues with loud music near the front and occasional service inconsistencies.
"Celebration for party of 9. Heard about La Fabrica Central with good Caribbean food and nightclub in the back of the restaurant. Off street parking. Walked in to restaurant and greeted by the maitre d, friendly, courteous and professional. Escorted us to our table which was a high table in the front of the restaurant in front of the bar and live band. Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Music in the air and a bit loud but not intolerable. Restrooms were super clean and also spacious. Service was excellent by the waitstaff. Especially our waitress, Beverly who was awesome, attentive, polite, courteous and professional. Took our orders for drinks, appetizers and entrees. Great menu! Talking about a taste of the Caribbean, all our foods were prepared, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Authentic Caribbean. We ordered the ceviche mixto, tostones, chicharrón, yuca mofonguitos, churrasco, maduros, passion fruit salmon, croquetasde yuca, ropa vieja mofongo and pork. All served together in a timely manner. The drinks were Okay. They were a little inconsistent depending on who was making them. Music was excellent by the live band. Good way to work off all the food. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to try the other items on the menu and do some dancing💃🏻🕺🏻Or just eat! If you want to stay for the nightclub, it opens around 11:00 PM. A nice evening out or date night."

"We ordered the Lomo Saltado, ceviche, one beef empanada, one chicken empanada, and the maduros (sweet plantains). The meat was tender and flavorful, the empanadas were satisfying, and the ceviche was decent—nothing extraordinary. But the real standout was the sweet plantains: incredibly soft, perfectly caramelized, and melt-in-your-mouth sweet. They truly stole the show.
While the food was enjoyable, it’s definitely on the pricey side. That said, dining in comes with perks—you can enjoy live music at no extra cost and receive a $5 discount for access to the party room in the back.
Drinks were around $14–$15. I had an espresso martini during dinner, which was spot-on in flavor. We followed it up with mules—not very strong, but just right to keep the energy up.
Overall, a great spot to dance and enjoy a Latin night in Cambridge!"

"We got there about half an hour early but they were still able to seat us. Great service, very friendly staff. Overall, very very tasty food. The whole red snapper was perfectly crisped and the chicharron was crunchy where it needed to be without breaking your teeth, and melted in your mouth everywhere else. The sangria was the best I've had, sweet and tangy and bubbly. The only issue I had was with the sauces. It didn't feel like any of them belonged with the dishes they were served with. But that's minor thing in my book. The food was good enough to enjoy without sauce, too."

The 13 Best Places To Drink In Cambridge - Boston
Scotch has entire bars dedicated to it, bourbon comes in bottles that look like antique lamps, and certain tequilas are poured for guests at the royal wedding by the distillery owner/Sexiest Man Alive. But rum, on the other hand, kind of gets forgotten (maybe that’s because rum-and-cokes were one of the first drinks that almost all of us had, and they usually ended up on the floor). At La Fabrica in Central Square, though, rum gets the respect it deserves.
Boston's Best Cuban Restaurants
This lively Central Square restaurant and club dances from Cuba to Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and beyond, often fusing multiple cuisines into one intriguing dish; see the “Latin sushi roll” section of the menu, for example, which gives ingredients like sweet plantain a Japanese spin. Those with a hankering for Cuban might try the ropa vieja mofongo, which blends the savory Cuban shredded beef dish with a Puerto Rican plantain mash. Sip on a mojito (spicy or passionfruit-flavored, perhaps) for a fun night.
