Reviews Summary

9Zaab Thai Street Food is praised for its authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine, with many customers highlighting the generous portions and reasonable prices. Diners appreciate the friendly staff and the wide variety of unique street food options. However, some reviews mention inconsistent quality in certain dishes and one incident of being confronted about tip amount.

"Service was friendly, most people seem to get takeout but they do have tables. Khao Moo Tod was great and tofu triangles were ok."

Aaron Lucci

"Service was friendly, and the food was pretty good. The Moo Ping (pork BBQ) was very soft and well marinated. I liked the spicy sauce and the sticky rice (more than the rice that came with my main dish). The Khao Mun Gai was good, but I’ve had better elsewhere. Here, the chicken pieces were smaller and a little bit dry. Prices were reasonable."

_

"Cute, sunny, and excellent food and service. I got crab rangoons, jungle beef, and a Thai iced tea. I found a table in the corner next to the window and enjoyed getting some work done in between bites. The sticky rice was some of the best I’ve had. Overall lovely :)"

Where To Eat For Really, Really Cheap In Boston - Boston

9Zaab in East Cambridge is one of our favorite Thai restaurants in the city, thanks to a beef boat noodle soup that we would eat pretty much every day without complaint. The menu doesn’t initially appear to be especially cheap (that boat noodle soup is $15.95). But this is the only restaurant we know of where, if you spend at least $60, you get to spin a Price Is Right style wheel hanging on the wall with a chance to win 15% off your bill, free dessert, or additional entrees that would otherwise cost up to $16.

A tour of Cambridge’s Thai food scene

A hidden gem in East Cambridge where people don't usually reach is 9Zaab, where saeb แซ่บ, stylized as Zaab, means delicious in a northeastern 1(#%5B1%5D) Thai dialect. Here, you can experience a wider menu than at some other Thai restaurants in the area: papaya salads, or tam ตำ, and a type of meat salad called larb ลาบ, which are staples of Northeastern Thailand cuisine. 9Zaab also offers a wide array of street food, including my personal favorite, the hoi tod หอยทอด.
