"The Houston’s culture is very toxic. Things are consistent with food for the most part but occasionally service will fall short. They will never take accountability for their shortcomings and actually turn the table to make you the client feel that you are not being courteous. On a number of occasions this establishment has made us very uncomfortable. The portions have gotten significantly smaller over the years. For a very basic lunch for two people with salads and non alcoholic beverages, you will be out the door for at least $95 bucks. There is no real value there if their business model is to always approach the client as if they are the problem when there is an issue with food or service. It’s such an unenjoyable experience to the point that we have dramatically cut back on our visits at Houston’s. We just don’t want the hassle. We know we are not alone with our experience due to many shared stories of similar treatment. Houston’s is aware of this toxic culture and they don’t care. Their basic M.O. is that they take pride in everything they do food and service alike so if something goes wrong, we will assume it’s the client. That’s all they want to do is curb clientele that do not meet their standards. Zero accountability for their shortcomings when they do arise and honestly we are tired of it."

"For a place of this caliber, I expected way more. The service was completely mid, almost obsolete. No one checked up on me when my food arrived. It took them unnecessarily long time to even take my drink order.
I ordered a Woodford Old Fashioned which was pretty weak. I’ve had way better at the cigar lounge right down the street.
I ordered The Hawaiian with a loaded baked potato which was delicious but for the service I received, the below average old fashioned and lack of care towards me as a guests, not worth a revisit.
The bartenders enjoyed talking more amongst each other about their personal life rather than making sure my food and drinks were good. This experience is the reason why I’d rather save my money and not go out to eat. Especially when I can go to a much better restaurant that offers better food and drinks at a much lower price with exceptional service."

I basically asked what would be safe based on my daughters allergies and she wound up having a grilled chicken salad and the spinach artichoke dip. The waitress was very aware of the ingredients on dressings (contained mustard) so my daughter had vinegar and oil to be safe.
