Reviews Summary

Diners frequently praise Bottega for its exceptional food quality and reasonable prices, often comparing it to fine dining experiences elsewhere. The service is consistently noted as excellent, with staff described as courteous and attentive. However, some patrons have found certain dishes to be overly salty, and the close table spacing has been mentioned as a minor drawback. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for special occasions and delightful meals.

"My meal was an absolute delight from start to finish - every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, leaving us with a lingering taste of pure culinary bliss. The corn chowder and trigger fish was a standout, with perfectly balanced spices and fresh ingredients that danced on the palate. I couldn't resist cleaning our plates, and will definitely be back to explore more of their incredible menu! Our server was awesome!!"

K SHH

"Had such a lovely experience here at the bottega the prices were so good for the quality of food and what you were getting. We’re from San Diego so the difference is very apparent but it’s just as good as any fine dining place in San Diego. The service and the people were so nice such a lovely atmosphere."

Kristina Bolt

"First experienced and it was perfect to celebrate our 2 years anniversary.
Food was great, my bf is picky eater but he ate them all since starter to dessert. Roasted veal tenderloin was the bomb! Would love to come back again and try another menu 🥰
Dont forget to reserve first if you wanna sit in their dinning room side!"

The 15 Best Restaurants In Birmingham, Alabama - Birmingham

Plan to get dressed up for this one, because it’s without a doubt a special occasion spot, and what’s happening on your plate here deserves that level of respect. Throughout this two-story neoclassical building, you’ll find people celebrating anniversaries and job promotions over plates of decadent rabbit pappardelle and a yellowtail tuna bolognese that defies everything you thought tuna could be. They sub in fish, curing it for days and then grinding it, which yields a convincing version of spiced ground beef.

Touted as “the American South meets the Italian Countryside,” Bottega Restaurant offers a dark wood, sleek dining room experience or a more casual approach in the attached Café, complete with a wood-burning oven. Either choice is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, and the historic Beaux-Arts building is stunning. Please note: A more casual cafe-style eatery, shown in orange below, is connected on the other side.

For lunch, higher end you could do Ovenbird, Chez Fon Fon, Cafe Bottega or more. None are outrageously expensive. For less pricey lunch options, I’d consider El Barrio, the Garage (cool bar with solid sandwiches), Johnny’s, Carrigans (good drinks with good pub fare), Rodney Scott’s (whole hog bbq from a South Carolina guy that knows what he is doing), Post Office Pies, Saw’s, or the food hall at the Pizitz.
