"Staff could not have been more pleasant. Wine menu was extensive with solid selections. Our mains were well made with fresh ingredients, unique flavors, and the menu took great care to provide top-notch options for vegans and gluten intolerant folks. While I’m not vegan, the chocolate vegan ice cream was incredibly decadent and delicious. The website pictures made me think seating was communal; it is not. We wish we could move this gem to our town."

"Really loved the food here – the vegetarian options were insanely good. Anne Louise was our server and she was super sweet. You’ve gotta try the jackfruit dish and the lasagna – delicious. The presentation was on point too!"

Hands-down the best ribeye we’ve ever had!
Cocha absolutely blew us away. My husband and I stopped in for dinner and ordered the ribeye steaks with leek purée, mushrooms, and asparagus—and let me tell you, we’re still talking about it! Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. That leek purée deserves its own fan club.
We got the yellowfin tuna & rice as an app and it was spicy and delicious!
The service was just as incredible as the food. Jess was our server and she was phenomenal—warm, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She made the entire experience even better.
We sat out front, which was such a cozy and relaxing spot. The vibe was peaceful and inviting, and since we were staying within walking distance, we got to enjoy a lovely stroll to and from the restaurant. The cocktails? Also a 10/10.
Cocha is the whole package: food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. If you’re in Baton Rouge, this place is a must. Five stars all the way! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

In the last two weeks, I've had dinner at both Cocha and Tsunami. Both were at capacity. So, it doesn't seem as though being downtown is quite the disincentive that people like to claim that it is.
