Mother’s Day dinner at Acme Oyster House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Over the vibe was pretty chill, and the food was amazing. Between the 3 dishes and 2 appetizers for my mom, sister and myself, we give it a total of 8/10. @Meagan #fyp #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #oysters #friedfood #batonrouge #louisiana #mothersday

Reviews Summary

Acme Oyster House is celebrated for its massive, flavorful oysters and generous portions of Cajun-Creole classics like gumbo and po'boys. Many diners praise the friendly service and lively atmosphere. However, some reviews suggest that while edible, the menu can be heavily fried and may not represent the full spectrum of Louisiana cuisine, with a few instances of service delays noted.

"We wanted to eat good Po-Boys and we came to the right place. We had Acme Special Po-boy with Coleslaw, Fried Shrimp Po-boy with Potato Salad and also a cup of Chicken & Andouille Gumbo. Everything was good and satisfying. Gumbo was a little spicy for my taste but good spicy. Our server was friendly and attentive. We've been to French Quarter location too and we want to come back."

Hitomi G

"Very commercial. Food was okay, nothing to brag about. No wait for weatinf, half of the restaurant was empty. Staff was attentive.

Most of the menu is fried and not a great representation of Louisiana cuisine. Overall, edible and easy if you just want a quick bite but nothing incredible."

Jeramie OK

"The charbroiled oysters were delicious. And look how juicy this fish is! Everything was delicious and made for a great stop on our travels. Can't wait to return."
