Reviews Summary

The Food Market offers a creative take on American comfort food with attentive service and a lively atmosphere. While many praise the unique dishes and excellent service, some diners note inconsistencies in food quality and seasoning, particularly with pricier entrees. Despite occasional critiques, the restaurant remains a popular spot for its inventive menu and fun dining experience.

"My husband and I loved this place. It was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We ordered Beets by Chad, Fajitas and the Salmon BLT. The food was phenomenal and the service was too. We're visiting from North Carolina and The Food Market will definitely be on my list of places to visit when I'm here."

Portia Hansborough

"I want to preface this 3 star review by saying I will be back. And with that visit hopefully raise my review. Started with the the avacado toast which was on point. It really had me excited to move to the next of my order. Honey hot chicken and papa johntay. While I waited, I ordered a Bloody Mary. Presentation was not bad but one sip and I was done. Although on ice, it was room temperature and bland. I dont need extravagant flavors but this had none. I noticed that the mix was on the counter during the whole service which explained why it was so warm. But as with Old Fashions, a Bloody Mary is either good or bad. No in between. So I move on. Finally I get my second round. There was disappointment especially after the great appetizer. The chicken was neither hot nor honey. Very bland. The pappa johntay just didn't didn't strike a chord for me. Looking at it I would think there would be a a cascade of different flavors, but it never materialized. Although I amd not a big sauce person, I was aware it was topped with hollandaise . Sauces should compliment a dish, not push it from center stage. I would have preferred less hollandaise and more Sriracha.

With that said I will return. Great atmosphere and eclectic. I look forward to trying other dishes my next round."

Lance Miller

"Started coming here in 2018 for special occasions and I do think it’s gotten a bit worse over the years. Previously, the food would stand out as some of the best and most creative, and now I’m not sure if I would really remember the last meal. When paying a premium for food, I do hold it to higher standards after spending $200 on a meal.

Steak was a bit over medium rare. Partner’s steak was under. Lobster Mac and cheese was just not good. Not enough cheese sauce and the noodles were a bit dry, tossed with a few chunks of seafood. Fries were a bit soggy. Drinks and app were delicious. Tables were so cheap, my husband leaned on it to get up and the whole thing toppled over."
