Reviews Summary

Veracruz All Natural is celebrated for its exceptionally fresh and flavorful tacos, particularly the acclaimed Migas taco. Reviewers consistently praise the quality of ingredients and the authentic taste. However, some find the prices to be high for the portion sizes, and a few have noted that the flavor profiles can be straightforward rather than complex.

"Veracruz is one of my favorite taco spots in Austin! The tacos were super fresh and full of flavor. Good quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. The place has a cool, industrial vibe, and it’s right next to the famous bat bridge, which makes it a perfect stop before or after watching the bats fly out at sunset. Loved the whole experience. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and craving something delicious and local."

Athulya “Atu-lia” Mo

"Very popular Tex-Mex spot in Austin. The guac was well-made and chips were fresh, thick, & crunchy type. As for the tacos themselves, they were not complex in their flavor profile: tasted like the combination of the ingredients they were made with. Everything inside (egg, peppers, mushroom, etc.) was cooked well so it tasted good but lacking synergy."

Dhruv Patel

"Veracruz is a hidden gem for tacos in Austin, TX!
I tried the shrimp, barbacoa, and chorizo tacos, and each one was packed with flavor. The salsas were perfectly balanced—not too hot, not too mild—just right. I also had an agua de horchata, which was fresh and tasty.

The vibe is great too, with both indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio. It’s a solid spot for a quick taco fix. Highly recommend if you're in the area!"

Best Breakfast Tacos in Austin to Eat Right Now

Regular folks and extremely famous television personalities agree: Veracruz All Natural has amazingly delicious tacos, especially when it comes to migas. For that, you have Reyna and Maritza Vazquez to thank—the sisters and co-owners were born and raised in (wait for it) Veracruz, Mexico, where they combined a passion for their culture with a penchant for fresh, organic ingredients, forming a successful business with five thriving locations. For the plant-based set, La Reyna generously provides by way of egg whites, mushrooms, carrots, spinach, cilantro, onion, red bell pepper, Monterey Jack cheese, avocado, easily modified to be vegetarian or vegan.

There aren’t a ton of things that almost everyone in the city universally agrees on, but if any statement were to cross all party lines and gain universal support, it’s that Veracruz All-Natural makes the best damn migas tacos in town. Come here first thing in the morning—either to start a day of hopping around the East Side, or to recover from a long night out—and make your way through the ever-present line to enjoy some of the best breakfast tacos in Austin. Migas can vary drastically depending on several important factors (namely, the types of tortilla strips used, the amount of cheese and the assembly process). Veracruz All Natural does it right, starting with handmade corn tortillas and crunchy chips, which are both griddled on the flat top. Next: chopped tomato, onion, jalapeño and cilantro are sauteed with the chips and joined by an egg.

18 Best Tacos In Austin

Veracruz All-Natural started as a food truck and was originally known for their migas breakfast taco, but as Austinites have continued to obsess over Veracruz (the line at the food truck can be crazy on the weekends), they’ve opened more locations (include a couple brick-and-mortars) and expanded the menu to include pastor, fish, barbacoa, shrimp tacos, and more. Their salsas are some of my favorite in town – bright and super fresh with a wide variety of flavors and spice levels. They don’t skimp on the toppings (like big wedges of avocado on top of the tacos) and all of their menu items are consistently high-quality and made-to-order.
