To be honest, I haven’t always been a big fan of Bufalina – it was always soggy for me so I didn’t understand the hype around these wood-fired pizzas.

A restaurant is known primarily for doing one thing as well as anyone in the city — in this case, Bufalina cooking the best Neapolitan pies in Austin. But it also does a second thing as well as anyone in the city — in this case, fresh pasta. It’s a little like watching Prince move from the guitar to the piano.

Austin has some great pizza joints, but if you’re looking for Neapolitan pizza in particular - Bufalina is one of the best for that!. The pizza dough is fermented for 24 hours and then proofed longer after that. The result is a nice chew in the dough with a nuttiness and tang from the long fermentation.

Located in East Austin, Bufalina Pizza offers happy hour 7 days a week with half -off pizza and bottles of wine under $100. If you’re located in North Austin, you can also check out their other location, Bufalina Due, with similar menu options and daily happy hour.

As I entered Bufalina Pizza, I was immediately drawn in by the charming ambiance. The rustic decor and warm lighting created a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff greeted me with a smile and guided me to a comfortable table.

Bufalina's happy hour is 4-5:30 PM every day INCLUDING weekends!. I recommend getting there early (like before 4pm) to be seated for happy hour. Known for their Neapolitan pizzas and award winning wine list.
