What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Las Montañas is celebrated for its vibrant Tex-Mex cuisine and lively atmosphere, with many praising the flavorful fajitas, delicious margaritas, and stunning mountain views, especially from the patio. However, some diners found the prices a bit high for the portion sizes and noted occasional lapses in service attentiveness.
"Hello, Mexican here 👋,
This place is fantastic! I had the chilaquiles (added chicken), my wife had the chicken enchiladas with whole beans. Charles was an amazing waiter with an amazing attitude!
They have a great selection of tequila and the bartenders are very friendly! We will definitely be back!"

"The restaurant itself is nice and location is great since it’s in downtown Aspen. However, my order was wrong. It was our first time coming to this restaurant and we sat at the bar. Prices are a bit pricey, portions of the food are smaller for what you pay for. We initially ordered a beef fajita enchilada ($40) and received a tiny enchilada lol. When we received the bill, out bartender rang this up as a single enchilada ($11) instead of the entree. It wasn’t a big deal but wish there was more attention to detail… our bartender wasn’t attentive. We ended up going to another restaurant afterwards."

"Saw the rooftop patio and had to try! Lilo was such an amazing server and gave us recommendations on drinks and food. Definitely recommend!!"

The Texas Legends and Wildcatters party presented by MML Hospitality and Panacea Collective returned with a bang, taking place at Las Montañas, with Ranch Waters flowing. Legends and guest chefs also included Autumn Rich, TJ Mathias, Kristina Weiss, Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, Chris Shepherd, Saera Mardanbigi, Edgar Rico, and Lou Lambert.

Upstairs in the former Jimmy’s location is Las Montañas, a restaurant featuring Mexican food and cocktails. It has a color interior with “familiar Mexican elements such as arched door openings, weathered wood detailing, bright tile, and rustic furniture.” I went for lunch after reading good reviews. I really enjoyed the al pastor shrimp tacos and the great service.
